Great for families with young children. I was here for an event with my family. We have a 6 year old and a 2 year old and we couldn't have found better facilities. Not only was there a decent outdoor play area but a soft play area indoors as well where you could eat meals as well. It was brilliant. Staff were lovely, breakfast was great and meals good too. Definitely recommend.

This was a stop off en route to Scotland, I read previous reviews after booking and might not have booked if I’d read them first but really I have no complaints. We stayed in 9 different accommodations on our holiday around Scotland and this Premier Inn came in at number 6 on our list. After reading other reviews I was kinda dreading it but check in was easy and friendly and we were able to book our table for dinner straight away. The lady behind the bar in the restaurant was not overly warm and seemed a little laid back, kinda lackadaisical and ‘am I bothered’, I think maybe we were getting on her nerves and with her obvious elevated status she was able to pass us on to her younger team mates who were more comfortable to talk to anyway. I rated this Premier Inn over our number 7 Premier Inn because I absolutely loved our carvery dinner, the servers were lovely and wow…roast dinner with macaroni cheese (an acquired taste I’m sure) was absolutely delicious.Room’s were a little unkempt but we slept well and had no problem whatsoever with the wi-fi. Parking was easy and location for our purpose was perfect.

I accept that Premier Inns are essentially motels but quality is always high and rooms always clean and comfortable, the staff are welcoming and helpful, and while food menu is a bit limited it is a motel and not a 4* or 5* hotel. Parking is seldom an issue. I have been using the chain for 15 years and never had a complaint.

The location of Pontefract north was our prime consideration and it is an average Premier Inn but gets good marks for |FREE PARKING unlike other Premier Inns that now charge for parking.  …

Even though I have stayed here several times this PI is showing wear and tear. The room was a usual PI but it really did need air conditioning on summer nights and not just the fan in the room. The real killer was the broken bath/shower valve. When lifting the valve it failed to stop the bath still running.Staff are always good, rooms are clean, quiet location with easy parking.

By a absolute mile, one of the worst Premier Inn's in the country!!!!!Do not stay here if you wish to actually sleep.I have stayed here twice now, within the last 2 months, and will not be returning, you genuinely would get a better night's sleep in the central reservation of the A1.The first week stay was back in May, and the second in June, not very warm outside and a lot of rain, both times, the rooms, however, was uncomfortably boiling. My coworker and I would return to the room around 18:50, room fan had been on all day, window open, yet the temperature was minimum of 20°C.By 21:00 - 23°C, Then everynight about 03:00, the room would spike in temperature, making it literally a sauna, not helped by the fact none of the bathroom extractors work either, as in the mornings the mirrors would still be steamed up (9hrs later).Spoke to the receptionist, which informed us the building has no AC, and in their words, " Unfortunately the rooms do get to hot with 2 of you in a room, I would book 2 rooms next time", then why offer double rooms?!?!Also, there is very little to no WiFi on the far end of the building and data usage is poor due to all the industrial units near by, plus the only real option for food is the turnpike pub next door. So, over priced and not the best of quality either.Plus, I knowing not directly the hotels fault, but the evenings entertainment is rat spotting, as all the bushes near by have plenty.Overall, Avoid unless it's winter, or you require swimming pool of your own body sweat.
