We stayed at the large nearly wild pitch at Wray Valley campsite and it was truly amazing. …

Absolutely brilliant campsite. It felt like we were wild camping, with a wonderfully remote and private pitch next to a beautiful stream with lots of birds and wildlife, but with the comfort of a kitchen and bathroom just a few minutes walk …

We loved our stay at Wray Valley campsite with our young family. Kevin and Michelle were very welcoming and provided everything we needed, logs, cider etc. …

Myself and two friends just came back from a 5-day trip here, and we're missing it already! Our pitch was called "Oak", and was very picturesque; located in the forest next to a stream, and very secluded. The facilities were good, with two recently installed showers & a sink for washing dishes. The campsite also had good character, with free roaming chickens & a cat called Diego, as well as being in a great location - right next to the Wray Valley Trail. More importantly however, the owners (Kevin & Michelle) were very pleasant, knowledgeable & down-to-earth people; making the whole stay feel very accommodating.

I don't have a bad word to say about this place. I stayed in the charcoal pitch, sleeping to the gentle flow of the Wray Brook and the hooting owls. Lovely little peaceful escape with the added comforts of clean shower/toilet facilities and welcoming hosts. I opted for the two course meal which was absolutely so delicious. I had a lovely weekend, thank you Kevin and Michelle!

Superb place! We took just a 3 man tent and a few home comforts. The pitches in the woods were all lovely but we choice the furthest away and the most secluded! We had a little river nearby, camp fire and lots of privacy.Heartily recommend. So we'll thought out, eco, accommodating and we'll kept. And only a 40 minute walk from a great pub!.

Wonderful experience. |Pitches are well apart from each other and in different levels. Even we were the only guests during our two days stay, this campsite won't be overcrowded.|(Shared) campfires are allowed which add extra atmosphere. |Drinks and food are available. Nice shower/toilet/sink. |Lovely owners.

I've camped at this lovely place (it's more of a big garden with woodland rather than a commercial campsite) a few times now. The prices are very reasonable, there are hot showers and a kettle and microwave, an option to buy a homemade dinner / breakfast from the hosts, plus they sell various goods such as local beers / juice / wood / eggs from their chickens. It's a great location in Dartmoor, with a cycle track just behind it going to Moretonhampstead. I love the fact that they're an eco business. The owners are always very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend it :)

What a gem of a campsite! Perfect balance of ‘wild enough’ with enough convenience to suit families too. Well spaced out pitches, lovely little river, dog walking close by and the owners are so welcoming. Highly recommend their pizza nights if you’re lucky enough to be staying when they are on!|10/10, we can’t wait to come back!

Serene, eco-friendly campsite. I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a beautiful (nearly) wild camping experience surrounded by nature’s sounds and a river nearby. The owners were incredibly hospitable and helpful, ensuring a pleasant stay. Convenient shop sell fresh eggs, ice cream and sweetest organic strawberries.Perfect for nature lovers wanting to explore Dartmoor on nearby cycling and hiking trails. Highly recommended for those seeking a blend of tranquility and adventure.
