Being a previous employee of Premier Inn, I had heard quite a bit about the Hub product, being a compact room mainly focused on business travellers. …

It is a really stylish and great located hotel. Very accommodating and such lovely and friendly staff. Brilliant value for money would defo go again. Staff were really friendly and allowed us to leave our bags with them before checking and once we’d checked out. Very helpful

Overall the hotel itself was OK. Appearance walking in was very clean and well-kept in the common areas. However we had some issues with the rooms themselves. The room was overall pretty clean and what you would expect. Other than that, the water pressure was low, towels had a weird mildew smell, and we did not receive any housekeeping services despite requesting it well in advance. There was oftentimes nobody at the front desk during non peak hours so me and another guest had to wait a while to receive towel replacements. We didn’t mind these inconveniences too much since we were rarely thereThe location, however, was excellent and very lively. Nearby tons of restaurants, bars, and major attractions. We basically walked everywhere or took a short train ride. Overall, not bad if you’re on a budget and won’t be spending too much time at the hotel.

Amazing location, friendly staff and great room. SUCH a comfy bed. The lounge area and free coffee is a game changer. And the light controls from the bed are something I wish every hotel had. You can dim the lights, set ‘mood’ lighting that’s perfect for 4am bathroom trips when you don’t want to flash bang yourself. And they’re on both sides of the bed!

Clean, comfortable, stylish hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Tasty hot buffet breakfast. Lounge bar area is fab for breakfast/drinks/chilling. Quiet, modern, rooms with very comfortable beds and nice shower. Great central location for shops or sights.

Book for the location only!I often stay in hotels in the UK and so I'm familiar with the compact/pod concept and quite like it, however this fails on all fronts.First, the front desk is not constantly manned, the 'buzz for attention' bell has been removed/stolen and there is no way of getting in touch with anyone who works there. This is despite them offering the option to hold your luggage for a small donation to a charity.Cut to the room and my first imprssesion wasn't good. The bed was not made (duvet was folded up like a youth hostel) and there were just two pillows. I also thought the design is odd, it has a large obscured window that doesn't open and all lighting is controlled off a switchboard on the headboard.I asked at reception if the bedding situation was usual, which surprisingly it is and asked for two further pillows - which never arrived.I also didn't like that there were no cups in the room and the bedroom area seemed very worn (carpets, scratched walls etc). The bed was two singles pushed together which both had uncomfortable edges and the construction of the building means you hear everything from adjacent rooms and hallway (but nothing from outside).Overall I wouldn't stay here unless it's stupidly cheap (like <£70). The hub concept is not up to Premier Inn's usual standards and it feels more like a youth hostel than an hotel.I also wouldn't stay here with another person unless I knew them VERY well. The en suite is a frosted glass pod and you will be able to see each other's outline. Staff pleasant enough but not present and I didn't receive my pillows.

Terrible hotel, do yourselves a favour and stay anywhere else! Very expensive for 2 midweek nights for leisure. The room half set up, not enough towels, pillows or water. …

We have stayed in other hub locations and this one was a bit of a let down. The room was really small even though we booked a larger room and it got unbearably hot at night. There was only 1 pillow each and when we first arrived and only 1 towel between 2 of us until they bought another. The TV wasn't working as it should be.The staff were friendly when you could see them and everything was very clean. It's a fantastic location let down by a couple of things.

I enjoyed my stay here. They were helpful with allowing me to check in early and also offer free luggage storage. The rooms don't have windows that allow you to see out, I think some rooms may have frosted exterior windows and some are interior windows that are illuminated with an LED strip as part of the room lighting. Personally it didn't bother me much but it's something to be aware of.You have to put in a request if you want your room cleaned. They seem to have a small number of staff filling multiple roles so sometimes you have to wait for someone to get to the desk but they were always helpful when I spoke with them. Overall a pretty good value if you come in with realistic expectations.
