The hotel has a great location for the city centre.Room looked clean, but I am pretty sure my asthma got triggered due to the lack of fresh air and the dust from the carpet in the room. The rooms have poor ventilation due to the windows being blocked to avoid people from smoking in the rooms. They only provide you with a fan (quite noisy), but that doesn't help much as it just moves the dust and bad air in the rooms... So, if you are asthmatic or sensitive to dust, I would avoid this hotel.Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Bathroom was clean and towel is large and great sensation to touch, but no hand towels were provided. The rooms could do with some paint touch ups.Staff is friendly and helpful. We did have issues with needing to have keys reset.Note that some rooms face a nightclub which is open until late at night and you can hear the noise from it. We were warned by our friend who was staying the night before us, so we requested immediately a room facing the other side. The staff was helpful and gave us and our other friends some rooms on the 430 to 450 corridor, far away from the noise.

My first night there were issues with other guests who insisted on playing their music until 1 am. The room was comfortable but I noticed that there were stains on the floor, the sofa and the mattress. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cost for the room was reasonable.

Stayed at the Ibis as was going to a gig locally, room 205 clean as was the bathroom, decent sized TV and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were lovely and helpful. Good stay, I would stay again if I was up that way.||Could slightly hear guests walking past the room but wasn’t that bad/loud.

Room looked like a prison cell and view out of the window was even worse. |Bed looked ok but walls were all stained with either food or drink splashed up the walls, it has to be the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. …

The room itself was clean and they had put the sofa bed out for my little boy before arrival.. However, the bed was rock hard and we all had a pretty uncomfortable night's sleep. If I was staying for more than night, I would have asked to move rooms. The people at the front desk were really nice and checking in was easy. In the morning we had to wait around for over an hour and the lady at the front desk put kids TV on for my little one, which was ever so kind and thoughtful. All very close to the town centrePlease note that when you have a child, they require ID for the child in question. This is for child protection purposes. I was lucky that we had his passport, but I can imagine a lot of people might be caught off guard!

Honestly, what I only like here is the location of the hotel. It is near to shops, restaurants, train station and university. The rooms are decent. Good to book if on a budget and if it is winter because there is no air conditioning unit. Just open the window. And the hotel does not have enough electric fans for each of the rooms.

Night shifts colleagues were not helpful, but the morning team was full of energy and keen to help customers.Rooms are poorly maintained. Our room was full of dust, and I was struggling with dust allergy issues after we vacated. Not value for the money spent. They have a good advantage of hotel location but need further improvements in customer services and room maintenance.

I seriously cannot fault anything about this hotel, from staff to rooms. I stay here on a regular basisfor numerous reasons.Price, location, staff, friendliness, approachability, cleanliness, location and room upgrade as a member, in no particular order. Highly recommended. I cannot fault this hotel every time. I stay. Thank you all.

Stayed here for two nights on my birthday weekend, so Friday and Saturday nights.Arrived on the Friday afternoon to find that my room was filled with balloons and paper flower petals, which I thought was incredibly sweet of the staff to do for me! Small gesture that meant a lot. The room itself was pretty standard, had everything you'd need in a hotel room and was clean. My room was on the inner section of the building and the window overlooked part of the roof, so the view wasn't much but I found that preferable to a street facing room because I had no street noise. There were two downsides; the first being the key cards provided. They worked fine in the lift and to turn the lights on, but trying to get into my room was a nightmare. It easily took me about two minutes every time I had to go back into the room just to get the door open because no matter how many times I swiped the card, the door wouldn't unlock. It was a bit embarrassing having other guests walk past me while I was stood in front of my door repeatedly swiping the card for ages. The other was the paper thin walls and the noise. I thought that I got lucky on that front because I was next to a linen cupboard, so nobody next to me, and as mentioned I didn't have the noise off the street to disturb me. However noise carried awfully loudly from the hallway, so if anybody walked past the room I could hear them word for word and footsteps were incredibly loud. This wasn't too bad until this morning (Sunday morning), when I was woken up by what sounded like several men having a very loud and drunk conversation in the hallway. It was so loud they may as well have been in the room with me. This was a pretty crappy way to be woken up on my birthday. I tried to ignore it and go back to sleep but they were too loud so I had to get up and open the door and poke my head out to give them a very pointed glare. When I left my room for breakfast later that morning, I found that my do not disturb sign had been taken off my door. Not sure if the rowdy guests stole it or if housekeeping took it off for some reason. The soundproofing is terrible which is a real shame because in all other aspects I thought the room was great.Otherwise, Ibis was great. Super convenient location in town, great set up, lovely staff. I know they can't really do much about the way noise travels, but the key cards are definitely something they can and should fix if possible.
