We are regulars at this hotel and stay monthly to visit the theatre. The location is perfect only a 10 minute walk to the theatre royal. The rooms are smaller but fine for an old couple. …

We had a one night stay here to celebrate our daughter’s 21st birthday. We had booked tickets at the Playhouse Theatre which was virtually opposite. The location was perfect for this but also within a short walk of the city centre and its pubs, restaurants and shops.Car parking was okay although we ended up parking in a car park that was not the one with the Premier Inn discount code. It is worth double checking this. The breakfast was in the Bar & Block restaurant downstairs. One of the best arrangements of a Premier Inn breakfast I’ve experienced in many. I ordered poached eggs which were quickly cooked and served. All in all an excellent breakfast experience. The 4 (not 5) stars reflect the noises outside late night which we heard despite keeping the window closed. A minor point but it could be important if you were a light sleeper.

Booked a disabled room, bed was very, very soft, bathroom adequate, expected it to be noisy due to major road works taking place outside (long term project), but the sound proofing was good and no issues there.  …

2 nights in premier plus room|Good location. Didn’t feel as nice as other premier plus rooms I have stayed in. Personally also prefer standalone shower and not shower over bath. …

Everything you'd expect from a premier inn. Staff we spoke to were helpful and nice, room was good, location excellent. Was nice and quite for us. Would definitely stay again. ||I forgot you have to write 200 characters to leave a review on TripAdvisor. Respectfully, it's a stupid policy and this whole bit is a waste of everyone's time.

Ideally situated in the centre of the city. Reception area a little small. Staff friendly. Room a good size ensuite very clean. Corridors - carpet and walls a little tired. Breakfast in the Steakhouse very good. All staff serving breakfast helpful - chef a little surprised when I asked for my blackpudding - straight from the fridge, (not cooked again).

Clean rooms, comfortable beds and right in the city centre. Down to 3* for location, as hotel doesn't have their own parking space, so you will have to book that separately. Hotel does provide a discount on it, which is great.

Check in was slow, staff were fine. Our room was as expected at a premier inn. Only one lift was working so slow gaining access to upper floors.Recommended carpark isn't good if you have a larger car so we couldn't get parking discounts.

Premier Inns are normally all alike and in most cases I find them to be good clean, basic hotels. This one was tired, smaller beds than usual and it was dirty. Our room hadn't been dusted in weeks and walking around the hotel, it all looked mucky.
