Hotel we paid for when I rang to ask if we could have sea view manager told me problems with fire alarms and date I would arrive hotel would be closed. They didn't inform me of the problem at time of booking I have been informed.by hotel manager because of this problem at least 200 people they have to refund. I had to book at another hotel due to business and hotel Blackpool have had so many emails sent with regards to my refund and they still haven't replied they are not professional people at this hotel and don't know how to satisfy customers . Stay clear from this hotel . I received an email from hotel Blackpool saying thank you for your stay lovely serving you what are they talking about I didn't even stay there they haven't met me what are they talking about they were shut down . Bad communication and they have stolen money from another 200 people. I am rating this at at defiantly negative though I didn't stay here because no fire alarms but paid and no refund duabolical. You are money grabbing and I am taking this further you will not get away with stealing money from.peoplr

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS!Only good thing about it wasn’t too far from the front (what we went down there for).Kept us waiting ages upon arrival with no answer, swapped one of the guests room for another room at a different hotel (because they lost the key, but ALL rooms were coded with no key needed). Double booked our parking spaces which were payed for prior to arriving so we had to leave our car elsewhere & pay for extra parking. We were advised by a local to not stay at this hotel (when we got there / after we’d booked) because “the owners double book every week & only care about the money.” - the first red flag, but we gave it the benefit of the doubt because it was for 1 night we’d be gone in the morning …4 rooms all together were booked for 1 night but as mentioned 1 room was double booked. As soon as you walked in you could smell damp, truthfully it looked like nobody was bothered about the presentation of it. Nothing like the pictures or the description. False advertisement!!!! 1 room that we had looked like a prison cell, boarded up window, stains all over the carpet & an annoying buzzing sound when bathroom light was on. 2nd room - the bathroom door wasn’t even attached it was leaning against the wall. 3rd room (the one we were in) had a nasty smell coming from the toilet / base of toilet was filthy, the kettle was absolutely disgusting inside, no room to put anything as the room was so tiny.7.45am Sunday morning the fire alarm was set off due to a different guest using the shower head which was producing smoke as soon as they turned it on (admitted it was their fault), but the hotel management should have checked for all these faults before allowing people to book - if there was a fire we wouldn’t have been able to leave the property safely as the fire exit was blocked with heavy items, such as paint tubs / units etc. It took a while for someone to attend to turn it off & even he said “it’s like faulty towers in here.”But of course the hotel owners aren’t blaming themselves for the awful stay, they’re wrongly accusing us for setting off their fire alarm when in fact we got woken up by it. It terrified all 3 of my children. Even after the unprofessionalism / un organisation, they still continue to be rude / wrongly accuse. This hotel (if you can even call it that) - I would avoid completely because to me it was more like a night from HELL! The worst experience I’ve ever had. This place needs shutting down.

!! STAY AWAY !!!! Friend booked a room for 4 days and the staff tried to kick me out on the next day because their building is getting locked down over fire safety. When asked for a refund the employees refused to provide one because it is non refundable. Had to contact booking to call their management who did not pick up the phone. Over all terrible service and not to mention the amount of dust that went everywhere the moment I've lift the covers and went over the place with a UV flashlight.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY ALL COST!! Me and friend got scared as someone trying our bedroom door at 3am and staff try kick us out room as there was thinking we didn’t book 3 rooms I booked 3 rooms for me and two other friends but me and friend end up in family room!! Rooms are awful the beds like wood.. Paint fall of the callings. Mould in the kettles and no base for kettles. Dirty bedding in the entry way.. carpets are dirty. Staff are rude and talk through cameras if got any questions! Extra charge for pillows bedding ect is not acceptable as not written on place I booked on. Is male run hotel as women I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Rooms hot and air con don’t work in the rooms. In the bath tub I found pubic hairs in the bath tub. Things held up by tape and smoke alarms covered up. Bar is not working and picture on here not like hotel look like at all.. Hotel smells awful. Cables hanging out the ceilings. Don’t not walk round your rooms without shoes on as feet will be black I had use wet wipes on my feet ect.. Please involved is hotel as wouldn’t even allowed animals stay here.. is hotel has loads faults!! Is hotel more fit for homeless people not normal humans. Our room backed onto alley we couldn’t even have windows open as there where crack heads down the alley so we felt uncomfortable and unsafe.. door at night never locked.. No toilet rolls in the rooms we had go hurt for staff members in end up we end up having to help ourselves to the things.. laptop is left open with everyone details showing up and room key left in draw not locked away.. DONT NOT STAY HERE

worst hotel. never ever think about this as an option! rooms are outdated, not at all neat. My phone screen is bigger than the TV size in the room.carpet is dusty. service is bad. receptionist not available. the person who showed us our room didn't let us leave baggage unless we paid for car park. we had to pay extra £10 for car parking (which was not mentioned while booking). toilet is disgusting. bed.. can't call it a bed! not at all comfortable!

Awful hotel . £175 for two nights, and it’s not even worth £1 a night . Had to come home early from our mini break away because it was that bad ! |There’s no words for his hotel shouldn’t be aloud ! Needs investigating . All for grabbing the money and no effort into rooms or customer service.

We stayed at the Melrose in March and had a great stay with our 9 month old.The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They did unfortunately have some trouble with other guests smoking and setting the fire alarm off at night- not ideal with a baby but the owners were very apologetic and sorted the problem straight away. It’s not the rits by any means, but you get what you pay for! It’s clean and functional and super close to all the attractions and so for the price you really can’t complain! We loved our stay at the Melrose and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again :)
