Fabulous stay over at this hotel in Derby. Modern, clean and efficient. Friendly greeting on arrival and nice room on the 6th floor. Overlooked a very busy ring road, but soundproof was fantastic. Checked out in the morning and told the parking was complementary, very nice touch. Would recommend and stay again.

Very disappointed. Only stayed one night it was enough. Started with the evening meal. Went for the soup to start with but don't like brocoli and Stilton so opted for the very basic salad. …

It was oddly situated, on the ring road, just out of the town. It is a new hotel, I think, so it was clean. The lifts were slow and kept moving up again before coming to the ground floor when they were already on the way down. We were with a coach trip, and it was the first time I have ever had my meal served like a school dinner queue. There were 3 options - cottage pie, salmon pasta, or noodles. Some members of our cohort were vegetarian and had nothing except a desert, which was also served at the counter. They have a lot to learn.

The hotel is fairly basic but ok for a one/two night stay. The staff were helpful and friendly too. The biggest issue with this hotel is the size of the double beds - they are tiny. On our second night we actually changed to a twin room because we slept so terribly the night before.

The hotel doesn't have onside parking. You need to park in a local multi storey carpark.I use hotels.com for my booking needs. But the hotel doesn't give details of the parking situation on this site. When I mentioned this at the front desk while checking in. The woman was very rude, telling me I should have booked direct.Let's say I won't be using this hotel again.

The Hotel & breakfast was very good overall but a lack of toilet roll in the public toilet on the ground floor spoilt the experience of a green five star. I would visit again but only in the knowledge that there will be toilet roll capacity in the public toilets
