Rooms are clean and comfortable. Water pressure was excellent. It's your standard cheap and cheerful budget hotel. Close to the local train stations for going into Manchester city centre and close for those brave enough to drive in.

I have read lots of bad reviews of this place but when I actually stayed and experienced with my family and I only say good about this hotel food was lovely staff was lovely and the entertainment was amazing. The rooms were more than clean. I can only recommend to stay again.

Looks a bit run down on the outside. The inside however is very nice with spacious and well appointed rooms. The AC worked very well too. The bathroom was really nice, with a bath and shower, really like a nice soak in a bath. The TV was a good size too. The only minus point in the room for my wife and I was the bed, a little too hard for us. We woke aching a little bit that soon wore off. The food was nice though a little more choice for evening meal would have been nice, there was pasta which my wife doesn't eat, being diabetic and she doesn't like chicken. Apart from salad that was the only choices. Breakfast was very good lots of choice and well cooked. All in all we had a pleasant stay. We would certainly stay there again if we were in the area.

Stayed 2 nights here for work. Some of the reviews are a bit harsh. Hotel does look tired from the outside, but inside its clean and comfortable. Some decor is a bit dated, including the rooms, but that is it. Staff are friendly and efficient.

Location is great with parking.Staff look like they dont want to be there. Rooms are small and look dated.Had a towel that was filthy, left folded for us. I guess towels are not changed when people check out. Makes me worried about the bedding as we had 4 people and 2 rooms and all ended up with rashes. Forget using your phone as there is no signal, but don't worry as there is wi-fi for £7 per person per night, and if you arrive an hour early you can pay £10 to check into the empty room.They keys to get into the room are easily wiped by just having near your phone, something that ive never had with any other hotel. Ours didnt work after the first night on either room.Dont expect to sleep either as there was a fight on the first night and people banging doors on the second night.We wont be back again.

I went with friends on a Caledonian bus trip and Britannia hotel was our base.Everything in our room was absolutely fine, beds and bathroom spotless.Staff were exceptionally nice and attentive.Food was more than adequate.

Just spent 3 nights at this hotel through Caledonian travel the room was clean food was excellent nice a clean throughout the hotel staff very helpful. Entertainment 2 nights was excellent.Nothing was to much trouble Emma the duty manager was lovely and helpful . The outside is in need of refurbishment but everything else was spot on ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
