Staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Shout out to James for making some amazing coffees for around 100 people in the morning! We came here on a soccer trip with a team from California.  …

I stayed in a private room for two nights to attend a mate's wedding. There was no WiFi the whole time and broken bedside lights. I wasn't there a great deal so it was survivable for two nights.|Two weeks later they then deducted nearly £200 from my account without explanation or warning, and I left no damage.||Not worth the risk

It was a nice stay. Nice staff. Bunks are nice overall but they don't provide padlocks for the lockers and the stores nearby didn't have suitable locks (you'll need a small lock with wires). Street is a little bit scary towards the city centre but was absolutely fine towards the university. Definitely bring flip flops. Price is nice. Would stay again.

We stayed here over bank holiday weekend and paid £124 for our room. I feel even though this was bank holiday weekend, this is a high price to pay for a room in a “hostel”. …

We stayed 25/06.Impressed!!!This location and value for money are fantastic. The rooms are very nice and clean and the bed is really comfortable. Our only issue was that the room was very light early in the morning, meaning we were awake early but weren't hungover, so we were lucky 😀.We will be booking again

The Good, The Bad and The Disgusting!Stayed here for two nights as a group of 28.The Good - central location, comfy beds, spacious, cheap at £36 a night. The Bad - The main bar was shut due to lack of staff, no food. The Disgusting - it's obvious that cleaning isn't their top priority!!!The bathroom obviously hadn't been cleaned for some time. It was full of rubbish on the floor and including sanitary items, showers and sinks were dirty and covered in hair. One bed in our room hadn't been changed. The room hadn't been hoovered or dusted in a while. Toilet walls was grubby. The whole building felt grubby and needed a good clean. Doors covered in dirty hand marks and paint peeling off. The public toilets were filthy toilet seat on the floor!

We have stayed in many Selina hostels across multiple counties, this is by far the worst. The staff were okay although not welcoming at all.The hostel was quiet but they crammed their few guests into the same undersized dorm room, where there was absolutely no room for luggage and no cleaning was done throughout our stay. The limited bathroom access created hostility between the guests as there was only one toilet and shower per 8 people staying in the room. It was not cleaned at all during our stay, there was hair in the sink and shower area, the toilet seat wasn’t attached and minimal privacy as the walls were paper thin. Not worth the cheap price.

Not Ideal for a Peaceful Weekend StayI rarely write reviews, and after staying in countless hotels, I’ve never felt the need to complain. However, I feel a responsibility to warn future guests about this one. If you’re staying over the weekend and hoping for a restful night, this is not the place for you. While the location is great and the rooms are decent, be prepared for a sleepless night filled with the sounds of street noise, shouting, slamming doors, and other chaotic elements of Liverpool’s nightlife. On the other hand, if you’re in town to party and plan to crash after a long night out, it’s a perfect spot—well located and reasonably priced. But if sleep is what you’re after, consider passing this one by. You’ve been warned!

+ Comfortable bed+ Curtain for privacy+ Spacious rooms+ Convenient location+ Affordable price- No answer to emails- Wi-Fi not working at all during a 3-night stay- Bathroom sinks dirty and clogged with hair- Tiny bathroom trash can which was full most of my stay- Overall cleanliness not good- Staff indifferent and not approachable (apart from a young lady with red hair at the reception who was friendly)- Loud doors- Repair work inside the hostel starting early (around 8 am)- Shower stays on only 15 seconds; you have to constantly push the button to keep the water running- No shelf or hook to put clothes on when going to the shower- A large stain in the mattress that can be seen through the bed sheet (room 102, bed G)
