Great location, friendly staff, and a nice breakfast buffet. We stayed for a weekend and were lucky enough to be upgraded to a deluxe room - very nice, but judging from the pictures it's simply a slightly larger room with a higher ceiling. Staff were friendly and accommodating, taking care of luggage both before check-in and after check-out if needed. The spaces are nicely decorated, though some parts are in need of renovation. The carpets in some areas feel worn out and we noticed some strange smells in parts. Still, overall it's a clean and warm atmosphere. There's a spacious lobby where you can lounge in sofas and armchairs, and an adjacent bar which is spacious and cozy but has limited opening hours. The location in Kensington is ideal for most, it's a fairly calm neighborhood but still close to everything. The nearest tube stop is less than a five minute walk away. The breakfast buffet had everything you might expect from an English breakfast, eggs, bacon, hash browns, porridge, tomatoes and veggies, yogurt, bread and croissants - great pork sausages especially! The dining area has a couple TVs on the walls showing the news on mute. We paid £12.50 for breakfast, but without pre-booking they said the price would be £16. Fair price, I reckon.

Excellent location; just 5 minutes away from Gloucester road and just next to it a Waitrose supermarket. Rooms were spacious, comfortable, clean and well darkened by large curtains. Excellent buffet breakfast in a beautiful room. The staff is very friendly. Ask for the green tea + mint pot. :)

This hotel is excellently situated near the Gloucester Road tube station and the museums district. We took advantage of the hotel taxi service to get there from Heathrow. Staff were wonderful, very friendly, and cleaning was thorough. …

Absolutely lovely service, really wonderful. The one person bedroom was quiet smaller than anticipated especially sine we booked it for the same price as the one for 3 persons. …

Don’t let the 4-star rating fool you. They have definitely not lived up to their rating. To get to our room we had to drag our suitcases up 13 stairs. The hotel needs to be updated as its carpets are worn and dirty. …

I stayed in this hotel in September and I loved the location and easy walk to restaurants, museums, tube station and Hyde Park. The bed was comfy and the room was a decent size for London. My problem started on the 2nd day (the first day my room wasn't cleaned) when I put my passport in my make up bag and hid it under my clothes in the wardrobe. When I got back to my room my passport as well as some make up were sitting on the desk. When I told the front desk they said no manager was on duty but would let her know in the morning. The next morning I asked to speak with the manager and she was unfazed about this happening. I said I didn't want anyone coming into my room the rest of my visit - which meant no clean towels for 3 more nights. I was traveling on my own and it was very upsetting knowing someone had been through my belongings. I wrote a note on the survey after I returned home and no response. Which tells me I am not the first person this has happened to and that management doesn't care. So if you stay here please use the safe and lock up everything.

I booked an overnight stay with breakfast here for my husbands birthday treat, to attend a show at the Royal Albert Hall. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the 5th floor. …

Great location. Front desk and breakfast staff were professional and friendly. Common areas are reasonably clean and appeared well looked after. Some fixtures in the room (527) were broken (E.g., sink, reading light). Strong and unpleasant odour from the bathroom. Despite advertising 11am check out, the cleaner knocked on the door every 15 minutes from 8am, which is incredibly unprofessional.

This was supposed to be a four star hotel. Don’t be fooled. Carpets are quite dirty and walls are scuffed. Our tour group was forced to carry their own luggage up numerous stairs, Very very disappointed with staff and their attention to their guests.
