The first day of breakfast was an absolute catastrophe, probably amongst the worst hotel breakfasts I have experienced. The second day, we made an effort to be there when they opened at seven, and it was much better. The bar next door, which is to provide the service, doesn't have the capacity. I feel sorry for the staff who did their best given the situation. The rooms are minimalistic and compact, like a cabin on a boat (though this was no surprise). Maybe they are a bit too minimalistic. I miss the shelf for my things and glasses for water during the night. The shower offers only water from above, so you will need a shower cap if you don't want to wash your hair. The location, however, is super, just around the corner from Piccadilly Circus, incredibly central. Another thing that bugs me is that checkout is already at 10, and if you want them to keep your luggage, they charge £15 per item! For our family, this would mean another £100; the last hotel we stayed at offered this for free. However, you can get check-out at 12 for £50 or at 2 pm for £80; I wouldn't call this a bargain. If Zedwell fixes the breakfast and luggage issue, it could be a fantastic place to stay.

We had a terrible experience at this hotel a few days ago. While I understand the minimalist concept, the thought of paying £15 to hold luggage or to £10 to ‘borrow’ a hair dryer for 8 hours is unacceptable. This was nothing compared to what we found in our room though, unwanted bed bugs! When I went to discuss with the person at the front desk, their response was not at all apologetic, only argumentative and then quickly turned to ‘we will steam your luggage.’ The lack of hesitation when stating all of this to me meant that this was not the first time this has happened and clearly with their lack of cleanliness in the rooms, will not be the last.I would say that the location is great, and proximity wise it is, however it is also right beside a disco playing heavy bass music until late in the evening that could be both felt and heard in our rooms.

I’m traveling with my friend, and the room is generally good, the location is also really convenient.Staff is very inefficient and not helpful. Also, they don’t provide hair dryers in the room, and customers have to pay an extra £10 for it, which I think is unreasonable given the price of the room. One particular staff member (name can be easily spotted in other reviews) said that he can lend one to us for free if we each give a 5-star review on Google maps. But he just took my phone and my friend’s phone away and logged into our different accounts WITHOUT OUR PERMISSION to give many fake reviews.Everyone please be careful…

Cons:The bathrooms in the units are ABSURD. I’ve never seen anything like it. Just a frosted glass wall separating the bathroom from the rest of the room (see photo for reference). Absolutely no visual or audible privacy, unless you are very acquainted with the people you are staying with I would not recommend this hotel. The units have no windows and are somewhat claustrophobic. The fire alarm went off randomly one morning for a fire drill with practically zero prior warning. The hallway carpets are filthy and smell. Minimal amenities.Pros:You walk out the front and are literally standing beside Piccadilly square, close to so many shops, restaurants, pubs, and the tube. The staff were fairly friendly. It is modern and has newer beds, toilets, etc.All in all I would say this isn’t a bad budget option for just a single person or couple, but families and groups should stay away. I wish I had spend a few more pounds and gone elsewhere.

Rooms were a little smaller than expected but they were pretty much what I needed, just a place to stay and sleep. Rooms were clean and had new clean towels daily. Location was excellent, lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Would definitely stay here again. Shout out to Sahil at the hotel coffee shop. Had a very good time here in London!

I had an awful experience at this hotel. Upon arrival, they informed us of an issue with our room and told us we either had to transfer to another branch 30 minutes away or take a refund. This was completely unreasonable—after a long journey and significant expenses to get there, they expected us to move hotels late at night, at our own cost. What’s worse, they didn’t inform us of the problem before our arrival; a simple email would have allowed us to make other arrangements. The staff was incredibly rude, making racist remarks and talking to us as if we were dumb. They showed no apology or concern for our situation. After such a long trip, the stress this caused was extremely disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Terrible service, very disappointing. To top it off, we still haven’t received our refund, and it’s been over three weeks. Feels like a scam. I would give it negative -10,000,000 stars if I could.

Location is very good, but in the hotel there was clogged and the sink wasn't very clean. The room only the bare minimum. There were only three hangers to hang clothes, no chairs nor desks although there was a lot of extra unused space. Shower worked good. If you want to leave your luggage before your check in they charge if you have more than two luggages.

Rooms are great! Soundproof so you can enjoy a nice calming environment. Could sleep peacefully without any background noise. Very simple room but worth it for the price and for one night doesn't bother me

Great rooms, comfortable beds, clean and very quiet but strange not being able to see outside. The glass doors were a bit unnerving separating the beds from toilet/shower facilities. If you're sharing a room it must be with someone you're very comfortable being around.

Crisis management was poor and senseless, staffs had no empathy. Have not cared about customer experience properly. Was super rude. Our room was unavailable due to flooding1. No prior notice2. Informs us with no sincere apology. Focuses on refund only as if not caused any inconveniences.3. To customers left with no room, carelessly lets them stay in the lobby til the morning. Referring that was better than staying on the streets.4. I expressed that letting customers stay in the lobby (instead of offering alternatives) was rude and that they did not care about customer experience. Staff replies that his english was good and I did not get him seriously. I do not want to have another interaction with Zedwell Hotel.
