Hostel is fine really, gave 4 stars cause it met my needs of being cheap and in a good location. If you're travelling or on a stag/weekend away. I'd recommend it. Book through their website directly and you'll get a better deal.Rooms are basic but fine for 2 nights or so, staff are friendlyCan hear the tube underneath but earbuds and the nearby local pubs will sort that out for you

In general i am really disappointed with my stay at the st christophers inn in Camden.Firstly i have to say though, that the employees tried their best to make my stay as accommodating as possible. Which with the material they were given was unfortunately not enough. When i arrived i was warmly greeted and given my room card within a short chat. The room unfortunately was clearly not well cleaned, very moist and the showers had small moldy spots in them. The windows were dripping wet from the moisture. The bed was mere centimeters of the floor und extremely uncomfortable. Additionally the locker was not able to be locked with the padlock provided by the hostel staff. The next morning i went to the reception and asked them if they could switch me to another room, which was possible, as soon as the other room was cleaned so just a short while where i had to store my bags with the employees. The new room was a lot cleaner, didn’t have privacy curtains though (nothing bad just wanted to say). However the next morning i was told by the cleaner that i am supposed to switch to my old room, which i did not know, so then i had to pack up my bags again and get down to the counter to clear things up. I was given another room again which was similar to the second room except the fact, that there was black mold growing on the ceiling of the shower. I let the clerk know and they said they were gonna let the cleaners know. Two days later the mold was still there. Unfortunately i had to end my stay with the hostel a day early because of the dissatisfaction.Again i have emphasis that the employees did their best with what they had to work with. They offered me free breakfast, a few drink vouchers and were very understanding and eager to help.

The location is pretty good, not far from the tube and plenty of buses. The rooms were ok, not a fan of a 3 person bunk bed, but for one night it's fine. The mattresses were not comfortable and the sheets were washed together with some tissue paper. My pajamas were full of tissue residue the next day. Not horrible, but not pleasant either. Some of the staff were friendly, but the lady who greeted me was not very helpful. I wanted to store my luggage, but I didn't have any coins. She just shrugged. Gladly I could change 5£ in the shop next door, but it would have been very difficult if I hadn't had any pounds at all. I recommend having some designated change for the lockers or a cashless system (London is such a cashless city). Or just have a luggage storage room free of charge, just as many other hostels.

It’s not really a hostel. It is a bar with rooms upstairs. There is no reception (you literally do the check in at the bar till), no lounge area, not a single sofa to chill and of course no kitchenette. The room was super humid, the sheets were humid, the cleanliness was ok but it was so small that my bed was less than a meter from the toilet and the bathroom sink, so it was very uncomfortable because of the noises and movement. There was a girl who was the 3 days lying in bed coughing, of course I got infected by her and when I got home I got sick with Covid, this is not the hostel’s fault, but if there were a reception or at least someone responsible for the hostel we could have told about this situation and do something about it, it’s not fair to make 6 people sick. Also: you have to have coins to leave your things in the locker if you get there before check in, if not they want to charge you 5 pounds! The only really good thing is the location, great neighborhood, many options for late night dinner, close to metro and bus stations (but very noisy at night, even with ear plugs).

Disgusting thieving scammers. sent me an email Cancelling my booking saying that I didn’t have the funds to charge my card for the deposit. Which is completely false as they still charged for the deposit. Management has refused to refund me because it’s a non refundable booking. Still doesn’t make any sense as to why they cancelled my booking in the first place. No one could explain as to why it was cancelled since I was still charged. Got to London that night with 3 others and we had to find accommodation. They have blatantly stolen my money. Please do no come here

Very bad experience 👎🏻Upon arriving at what I thought would be an affordable hostel for my first trip to London, my mood quickly soured. Despite booking a six-person dorm, the bed I was given was dirty and the charging sockets weren't working, leaving my phone dead and me unable to contact my family to let them know I arrived safely. When I tried to switch beds to charge my phone, I encountered a rude receptionist who failed to provide any helpful solutions and instead accused me of making noise. Fed up with the terrible attitude and environment, I left the hostel without seeking a refund. No one should have to endure such poor treatment and conditions, and I would give this hostel zero stars and never recommend it to anyone.:(
