The hotelNice reception area and bar. The beds are comfortable, no noise heard in the room. In a good location, near the train station.The roomThe room was clean. Very noisy heating system in the room. The room was freezing and we couldn't get warm.A dirty towel had been left in the room, which we asked to be replaced with clean ones. The hotel does not provide slippers or bathrobes.The restaurantRestaurant food and breakfast were average. The fish and chips meal was tasteless.The staffThe staff were friendly and attentive, just lack in customer service. Some of the staff are quite rude and indifferent. The hotel needs to invest in training the staff properly.Personal ItemsWe left a shopping bag in the hotel room (the bag was not near the trash can). We were out of the room from morning to evening and when we returned to the hotel in the evening, we noticed that the shopping bag was missing. we showed a picture of the lost shopping bag. We told the staff about it, who said would look into it. After checking out from the hotel, we received an email from the hotel saying, that there was no shopping bag in the room. Neither had the cleaners or the staff seen the bag in the room. There was no genuine apology on behalf of the hotel.They did not take any responsibility for the fact that the cleaners had gone through our personal belongings and either thrown them in the trash or taken them.

For the price this ace is brilliant. It’s less than half the price of central London, yet is a nice room with. Bath and big comfy bed.Location is a bit rough, but there are great food options about at reasonable prices, and you can get the Thameslink into London and be at St Paul’s in 30 mins direct.For the price, it is brilliant.My only complaint is the carpet seems a bit stained, but other than that, wonderful!

The hotel was great, friendly staff, nice clean room. My only comment is that there was no soap at the bathroom sink, had to use the shower gel provided. My evening meal waiter 'Prince' was great, very polite, the meal was awesome, so thumbs up for the chef too! Will stay again.

Michelle and Blaze in particular made my stay such a wonderful one that I cannot even imagine booking a different hotel when I come to stay in London. I honestly should say that most of the staff for the majority of the time that I was there was absolutely delightful from the kitchen. Staff welcoming me to breakfast every morning to the front and staff greeting me in the evenings as I would come back in from my excursions. I only had one experience with one particular staff member that was very rude to me and very dismissive of my concerns after an incident occurred within my room. However, later that evening I was able to voice my concerns to a more understanding member of management who rectified the situation. I do hope this member of staff receives some type of retraining, especially in the way of diversity and inclusion for the people that stay within the hotel as to not create a negative light on such a wonderful establishment.

Front desk are very friendly, nice and welcoming. I was even offered a free drink which was a lovely surprise.The rooms are very nice and clean too. This is the best place to stay if you're in the local area.

Only good things about this hotel were that the rooms were a good size and the breakfast was good.We arrived at the hotel at 11pm and the staff at the desk were friendly but were trying to log into the system for ages which delayed us getting our room despite it already being very late at night.When we eventually got to go up to our room, we found that we had been given an accessible room which is great that they have this option for those that need it, but neither my partner nor I required this, so everything in the room such as the sink was low (not ideal for my partner who is over 6ft when trying to brush his teeth). A mere inconvenience however which we could get over.We found that the bed sheet did not cover the full mattress and there was no mattress protector which is concerning as I imagine 100+ people sleep on the bed each year. Also the pillow cases did not tuck around the pillows well so the pillows were exposed at times and we saw a big brown stain on one of them. In addition to this, the pillows were like thick cardboard and we both woke up with neck and upper back pain.The walls were very thin and so we could smell what the people in the room next door were smoking and we could also hear absolutely EVERYTHING they were doing all night (perhaps celebrating an anniversary…over and over and over again…). We could also hear a lot of their conversations. I had an exam the next morning and this was so far from ideal.The next morning, a member of staff came up to room at 11.20am to say we were late to check out (my partner was in the room whilst I was out taking my exam). My booking confirmation however showed that we had a 12pm checkout time. At this point, my partner had lost the will to even fight this and show them the confirmation.Hygiene and a good night’s sleep are the absolute minimum, and we just didn’t get this. In all honestly, I just want a refund and would not recommend staying here.

Really enjoyed our stay in this hotel.The rooms are simple but clean, and the beds are great. Service was great as well, staff was very friendly.The train station is within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. You can take the train to London Victoria or London Bridge, both will take 10/15 minutes to get there.We would love to come back one day, we had a great time!

I stayed in one of the executive rooms which had a lovely view and a nice large warm bed. I was more glad to see that you can have a bath and shower as most hotels only have showers these days, so I was much appreciated by that and the service downstairs was absolutely phenomenal including their morning breakfast.
