Stayed here for one night, not the best but good location and bed for the night was all I needed. Pity no breakfast, but lots of shops and takeaways on Central Drive, 5 mins from town. Bit loud, so bring earplugs but on the whole a brilliant budget accommodation if you're not too fussy.

THE ORCHARD HOTEL PALATINE RD BLACKPOOLABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING,THIS HOTEL IS FILTHY… I booked 4 rooms in this hotel and we stayed for 4 nights. All rooms and facilities were filthy bedding was dirty and stained, mattresses were well worn badly ripped exposing the foam in some of them and full of bed bugs the divan bases exposed and black with dirt, rooms with laminated flooring was broken and had black filthy gaps throughout the flooring and was also filthy with dirt, dust and spillages lots of black specks down side of beds as well as filth and what looked like mouse droppings, room with bunk beds had carpet that was heavily stained and never seen a hover in years, kettles were covered in mold in all rooms the smell in these rooms were awful which explains why all windows were open on arrival . Facilities.. shared bathrooms were dirty and on a couple of visits to the toilet were covered in period blood all over floor and toilet seat which I did speak to the host about as I trailed my pj bottoms through it and was disgusted by it. All doors to the property were unsafe and open when locked with a slight push .. in this property there is a strong smell of cannabis thought the whole building, very noisy area arguing and screaming went on out side throughout the early hrs.. I have nothing positive to say regarding this property it’s disgusting it's been 2 weeks since our stay and my children and I are still trying to get rid of the scabies and bed bug bites my youngest has a bite on his back which is the size of a 20 pence which is inflamed and he requires antibiotics from the doctor for it.. the review I left on booking. com the hosts kindly respond saying I lived in a fantasy and we probably caught the scabies off the beach.. No you are delusional and are robbing people of their hard earned money to stay in a sub standard property which is not fit for purpose.. Do you live like that ??? Because there is no excuse for that filth and living like animal .. with the money you are taking from people hire some deep cleaners and gut it out … as for catching bites and scabies from the beach I don’t think so we never once went on the beach I suggest you take a good look at your mattresses and flip them over they are covered in bed bugs and filthy.. I’ve thrown out better … AVOID THIS HOTEL ITS A DANGER TO YOU HEALTH IT NEEDS TO BE SEEN BY INFECTION CONTROL

If i could put 0 stars I would Gordon Ramsay wouldn’t even stay one night in there people in jail get better accommodation the smell of illegal substances though the hotel not safe for anyone especially women and children i shared a room with my gf and wen she went to the bathroom I would stand at the door to make sure she was safe if you like horror movie you will love this place needle holes in the curtain smells of pee coming from the sink you could push the doors some windows would open and stay open others just wouldn’t shut we booked four rooms stayed with family, all the rooms smelled and looked the same some worse, rooms had bed bugs there’s only one camera coming in and anyone could walk in during the day showers were mouldy you couldn’t lock one toilet it looks like something out of hotel Hell!! And if theres any good reviews there were probably breathing in to many funny smells it should be shut down I highly recommend staying in a tent or caravan it would be cleaner and wouldn’t smell funny and would be safer and the noise at night was unbelievable you could go to bed you could hear every one walking about in the hotel and even out the window and the cars and the seagulls all night one night we could hear a woman and a man shouting at each other for over one hour but if you want to catch something or like to feel uncomfortable and unsafe! this is the place for you would not recommend avoid it like the plague at all costs

Sadly a complete and utter disgrace. A filthy room. Dirty bedding. False nail and on a dirty floor. Hair left in the bed. He phoned to ask where we had gone as we didn't stay and then had the cheek to harass my girlfriend over why we didn't stay. Denying that the room hadn't been cleaned. Trust me. 100% it wasn't cleaned! Avoid this guest house at all costs. Id not even leave a dog to stay here! Yes it's cheap but my god man. Sort your business out! If I could give zeros stars. I would!

If you watched Chernobyl and liked what you saw, this is for you!A dismal experience from start to finish. The hotel was fronted by a round, oaf like creature, wearing a pair of rusty spectacles, knee high Ugg boots, and an egg stained vest. The joy in his life came from his laminated rule sheet which he held so dearly and close to his chest. As we entered the hotel, this creature emerged from his pit, waving his sheet in our faces and claiming we'd broken a 'house rule'.We're still unaware of what this rule is but it seemed to be something to do with a friend of ours who wasn't staying in the hotel standing in the lobby.Creature screeched ''aaaggggg, you leave now and no money back''. Reasoning with creature was a struggle. No amount of diplomacy seemed to help.We managed to have a brief look at our room before being asked to leave. The room was shrouded in a dim, hazy light. The smell of damp coated the air. There were piles of crumpled white green tissues beside a yellow-stained mattress. If you love catching diseases or getting stabbed, this may be your dream hotel.

Just stayed here and couldn't really fault the place under new management, the room was small but absolutely fine for what I needed it for, just a place to crash, the new management were nice and the price was right, I'd stay again for that price of £22 for one night, only 2 stars given for room size but it was clean with fresh towls and soaps on the bed. The shower rooms are separate communal rooms and the place is still under renovation but if your not fussy it's a decent place to stay.
