Very rundown and in desperate need of updating. If you can afford something better, go for it, otherwise stay here at your own risk.Things that are broken do not get fixed, despite the proprietor being aware of these matters.Strong smell of disinfectant coming from the proprietors quarters quite frequently, as well as his TV, phone going off all night , en-suite shower not working so I had to use the communal bathroom, Despite paying for an ensuite. sink blocked, communal shower partially blocked, light is not working, curtains, ripped, and not staying on the poles properly… you get the picture.If you’re on a tight budget and just need one night whilst you wait for your plane, then maybe it’s sufficient, but I haven’t slept well here at all. And wouldn’t come back.Good points: very close to Heathrow Airport and the nearby hotels. Proprietor is friendly and tries to be helpful but doesn’t really look after the place very well.For example, my shower is broken (scorching, the cold tap is broken), and he’s been made aware of it by previous customers, but does nothing about it.Only one cup in the room, and that was obviously dirty at even the slightest inspection, but it had been left as a clean cup.I would imagine this is what guest houses were like back in the 70s, but really not fit for purpose in this day and age.
