Bed bugs! Do not stay here, massive infestation of bed bugs. I've been all over the world and this is one of the worst of seen. I'm absolutely covered in bites just from one night. Didn't stay the second night.I can take dirty and grimy (which the hostel is) you get what you pay for for. But I draw the line at bed bugs. Completely outrageous. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost

What a great happy place this is. Beds are comfy staff are very friendly but you can’t get any better customer service from Zoe. Who seems to be jack of all trades. Reception to housekeeping to cleaning. She is Amazing Thank you so much 😇Are these complaining moaning people on drugs . The ceilings are not falling down there is no bed bugs the staff are extremely helpful and friendly the showers are adequate the toilets are clean the housekeeping staff come and clean and mop the the floor and empty the rubbish bins in the rooms 3 times a day it’s a old building what do you expect. The Hilton is across the road so stay there if you want luxury. Makes me laugh what do you expect for £26 a night these people work hard not to hear misroble people talking rubbish

in the room there is only an uncomfortable crooked bed, tightly pressed against the wall on 3 sides, so there is no access. There is no place to even unfold a suitcase. Behind the thin wall is a toilet and you can hear everything so that you can't sleep. The bathrooms... ok, let's skip it. But the worst thing... it turned out that there were bugs there. So we had a lot of bed bug bites at night and my boyfriend has allergic reactions to insects. After returning home we had to desinfect everything so to not bring it home, because it's hard to get rid of this damn thing. It's a massacre

The staff and the people who work at the hostel are very nice. It's a great location to go into central london. The bar has a great atmosphere and it has some really great beers. You've got a great fish and chip shop and tescos around the corner. Great place for the price that you pay.

To me the location was ideal, if you leave the hostel through the main building, to the left side a tesco's was a 2-min walk away and a metro/railway station was a 5-min walk away. If you head the ride side, on the main road there's an underway leading you to a metro station from which you can easily reach Paddington - and finally, a fast service to Heathrow airport. If you head right two times as soon as you leave, and walk straight, around a 5-min walk to Bell Street, you'll find (more or less) a Muslim community living here, with an abundance of amazing Middle Eastern, Central and South Asian cuisine. We went to a stall where there were two Palestinian men selling amazing falafel. Highly recommend going there for a cheap breakfast/lunch.Oh there are plenty of things I surely didn't like about this hostel. To start off with, and yes, I dare to post this publicly, you will receive a code which you can use to enter both the door to the hostel itself, and your own hostel dormitory. We were staying on the top floor, which is a shared bunker dormitory with 12 people. The code you need to enter in order to open that door is useless, as the lock isn't even connected to the door; it's just there for show (probably it used to work - however, now it's broken). The lockers are extremely small, we weren't even able to stuff our luggage here, except for some small essentials. In addition, there are just a few bathrooms, around three showers, and maybe five toilets. In the mornings, between 8 and 9AM, they get crowded, and people queue up here to shower (not the ideal start of a morning!). Lastly, the staff isn't that friendly, for example, when we had to stuff our luggage in the basement (which costs 4 quid btw), the lady didn't even care to hold the door for me. The door shut while I was literally walking behind her. To summarize, I do not recommend this hostel, there surely are much better options for London. The rooms are so small and noisy that it's hard to walk around, and people get frustrated if you open the door and the noise comes in. I've stayed in many hostels throughout the world, and this is certainly my least favorite one. PS: The breakfast is definitely not worth the money; expect plain bread and cheap cereals.

Zoe. Jose, and the inviting man from Guinea are diamonds, on top of everything, patient and a pleasure to converse with.Rooms you pay for what you get, the location is spot on.See below for the response to the supposed ‘bug issue’This is the first time I’ve ever done a hostel stay and I’d certainly say if something was wrong or not.

So dirty. Come on, at least sweep under the beds once a while.Massive black mold, water dripping from ceiling in the room.I understand at this price expect no luxury, but this mold felt like a health hazard. There are plenty other cheap hostels in this price range that are 10x better.

What **** decides to vacuum at 12:10AM in the morning when 90% of people are asleep? Moronic and nowhere in room 5 had somewhere you could charge your phone and downstairs 2 of the outlets don't even work, I found 1 which worked. This place needs shutting down and I wouldn't be surprised if people have left in the night before. Attracts all the wrong people, 1 person was sat on the stairs on his laptop 🤡 there's a whole downstairs area for that.Only upsides are clean bathrooms and free WiFi and cheap breakfast.
