Walked in to an overpowering smell of BO, then as we walked down the corridor to our room there was a strong cigarette smell. Upon entering our compact room we noticed the floor was stained and had not been vacuumed. The bathroom was dirty with stains in the sink and shower. The toilet rim was covered in grim and the floor was covered in dust. The bed sheets were stained and a large spider crawled out from under the pillow. The bed frame/headboard was mouldy and stained. The room was noisy. We debated sleeping in our car. Should be paid to stay there. The staff were rude. When we came to check out in the morning, we were standing at the reception desk and no one bothered to see if we needed help. We put the key card down, as we turned round the staff was playing on their phone sat on the sofa at the opposite side of the room and did not speak to us. Worst place we have stayed!

If you had to read the comments below you wouldn't even give this place a chance. It is well situated in Barking easy acces to the underground and transport. On arrival the receptionist ratif(if I remember well) was very friendly. Yes the corridor does smell like cigarettes but that smell is very hard to remove unless you replace all the carpet and wallpaper. The room is a perfect size, was clean, there was bathroom soap, ther was linen and towels, the room was warm and the size was right, had space to walk around the bed and work on the desk. Internet works well.I was woken up by the glass bottles outdoor dustbins at 6:30am but nothing the hotel can do about it. Yes at night it is noisy due to the bar below but it is well written in booking.com when making the booking. It was convenient as I was on a business trip to the Excel Expo. Will definetly be back.

It's so noisy our room was towards the carpark which I'm guessing is where the staff take their breaks and are not quiet at all! You can hear the music from the night club which you could drown out with TV but you definitely can not drown out shouting, music and car beeping at eachother from outside. The staff we didn't bother really we asked for extra pillows and they brought them straight away tho I would bring your own because they are like bricks and I used a rolled up towel in the end. The rooms are clean with everything you would need not the worst hotel but so noisy.

Dirty tables and floors. Avoid. Staff require food safety level 2 training at least and to stop picking their nose behind the bar.

The family rooms are located above a night club, so it is really really noisy until 4am. Lots of shouting outside too. It was not clear on booking that it was above a nightclub. The confirmation did mention a night club nearby, but not underneath / in the hotel. When we checked in we were told it would be noisy and itd tough...don't complain as they were full. Plus he said some people enjoy listening to the music. I did try to complain but he wasn't interested. The base made the room vibrate it was so loud....I couldn't hear my son speak across the room. Very unhelpful and unfriendly man in reception. Booked family room for 3 people. 3rd bed not made up. Room smelt and beds very uncomfortable...more springs then mattress.Don't book unless you are planning to go out clubbing all night. Not suitable for families or people who actually want to get some sleep.

DO NOT GO HERE.Quite possibly the WORST hotel experience I have had the displeasure of being in.Firstly the staff are not very welcoming quite simply they want you in your room and away from them they want you to book in and leave them alone because god forbid they have customer service skills when it comes to hotel management. The room i stayed in was musty had what can only be described as a rustic bitter bad taste in the air its smell was bad. With a Worse smell in the bathroom. The TV was tiny and ancient barely could work. The toilet rolls were not stocked up when we first entered our room. The beside table was dirty as were the glasses provided for the also ancient tea kettle. The bed was broken and was dipping in the middle like a U shape. It felt like one wrong move and the bed would break. The futon sofa was also broken. Nothing in the rooms felt fixed, tidy or functional. However the worst part the absolute worst part of this hotel experience is the fact that they fail to mention on their website and other advertised areas that the hotel rooms are situated above a NIGHT CLUB with loud music which makes the walls and floor literally vibrate from the bass and is totally and completely unfair. When I had to get up for 6am and was told it would go until 4am.I went down and complained to 3 seperate members of staff all of which were basically speechless about being able to help. When I told them how completely unfair it was that people have to pay extortionate prices for a terrible room, terrible service and ZERO mention of a night club being attached to the hotel is totally and completely unfair. The lady who was the last staff member I spoke to was quick not to help me but try and prove that their website mentions the nightclub. (I can assure you it doesn't.) The lady also said that the information about the nightclub would be shown on my booking email. Firstly if i knew about the insane idea to have a nightclub under hotel rooms where people are trying to sleep through loud music until 4am i would have never booked in the first place so the fact you want me to book first to find out about your terrible service is insane. And also if the information about the nightclub IS in fact on the website i can guarantee that it will be in tiny fine print that is difficult to find, so that is "technically" there, if that is the case that is STILL totally and completely unfair on everyone who stays here. I mentioned that the info should be much clearer on their website only for the lady to tell me "that's not going to happen", gee I wonder why. This place is a scam. That's why. They scan IDs, they have a cloak room for storage but when i went downstairs to complain the cloak room where people store personal belongings had a large group of people hanging out in there which is not right. The staff I complained to could barely look me in the eye. I was offered a refund for the 2 nights i didnt stay there at the least which I took and booked another hotel that same night and was given so much better treatment and care with no nightclub until 4am to worry about.

This hotel is undoubtedly one of the worst I have ever experienced. The cleanliness of the room and bed sheets leaves much to be desired, as they were stained with red marks. The discomfort was further exacerbated by the feeling of the bed springs protruding, making it quite unpleasant. To compound matters, there were bed bugs underneath the bed, despite my complaints to the hotel receptionist. Their response was dismissive, suggesting that I might be allergic to something, which I knew was not the case. I have stayed in numerous hotels before without encountering such issues. On top of that, the air conditioning was leaking and making constant noise throughout the night. This experience has taught me the importance of checking hotel reviews prior to booking. I strongly advise against staying at this hotel under any circumstances.

Stayed there for a night and probably the worst hotel experience I had.1. The staff was not friendly (not rude but not friendly)2. The tap to control the temperature in the shower didn't work. So I couldn't shower3. Constant sounds from outside the rooms and some music from downstairs. The walls were too thin that you could hear people talking from their rooms.4. The AC sound was too loud and couldn't open the windows for some reason5. The rooms were not that clean as it should be
