With the price I knew this wasn't going to be amazing but I didn't expect it to be this bad. This is more like a bedsit than a hotel room. As soon as you enter the 'hotel part' you're hit with the stench of stale cigarettes which didn't get any better when we entered our room in which we were greeted by a beer bottle assuminly from the people before. There were patches of mold on the bathroom ceiling. The room was stifling but on opening the windows you're hit with the noisy road that the hotel is on, thank god for the fan! The carpet throughout the hotel and in the room looked like it needed ripping up a long time ago, was threadbare and sticky. The only saving grace was that the bedding and towels were clean

What to say.Honest point of view of a solo desperate traveler. Not new to last minute extreme adaptations. But this.Booked it quite in advance and managed to secure the place before the check in time.Accommodation and entrance can be misguided and confusing but trust me you will be let in. OK LET ME BE HONEST. If the code does not work and you don’t know how to get in and they don’t answer the phones. Try looking inside the pub. You might see someone and they WILL SEE YOU AND LET YOU IN.As general stay the room comes with two towels and a tv up there, without remote, not that I personally mind. The bed is comfy and the door closes. You’re given a key to lock it in your presence or absence. As many bad reviews, I generally can’t deny the experience but it’s just my point of view. I saw two other girls as me to go through the reception area and a guy with a bike. Had a pint in the pub adjacent while waiting for my room to be ready. Decent price and room ready an hour before scheduled.I heard some noises during the night but they didn’t last long. Stay open minded. And safe.THEACTUALF.

not worth the effort, didn’t even get into the room. check in time is 2pm onwards, arrived around 5pm to a piece of paper with a phone number. Was informed our room was still not ready due to damage and needed to be cleaned. Was not contacted before hand as “they didn’t know what time we would arrive” despite their 2pm onwards check-in time. never had this experience at any other hotel.

It seems the hotel's a totally different business to the pub - so this is just a review for the pub, take that in mind.Lovely pub that's surprisingly quaint for being near the middle of London. Drinks are reasonably priced, food is incredibly reasonably priced with good portions for the price - while being served at 10pm.Gentleman behind the bar was lovely and the whole experience made me feel surprisingly at home despite being 150 miles away.If you're looking for somewhere relatively quiet on a Friday night to grab a beer and watch the football, this is the one.

We arrived at the hotel and were unable to get in as it seems to have nothing to do with the adjoining pub. Someone kindly let us in as they were leaving. …

Warning. The accommodation is NOT part of the pub. There are NO staff. A key code is sent by text. The building is dilapidated.Expect NOTHING on facilities or customer service. Or even soap. And most importantly read this:This morning I was awoken by banging shouting and screaming. As it transpired a dangerous occurrence of domestic abuse was occurring in the room next to mine, and then spilling out onto the landing. With as I said there being NO staff, thankfully I got the police on scene before the lady being attacked suffered grevious injury.Obviously I recommend that you avoid this facility. At all costs.Pay double to stay somewhere safe.

NOT A NICE HOTEL BE AWARE. This was completely misleading from what we booked on Expedia and is not connected with the Pub at all. We received a random text after check in time with the front door code and our room code. Once we arrived the front door AND our room were unlocked. Hotel room didn’t lock at all even after we put in our code. The door didn’t even close all the way. No one was at the front desk to help us and we couldn’t contact a staff member. Did not feel very safe.

PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ANY COST!I have arrived to check-in today but there is no one at the receptionist counter. Called the hotel number but I was told that there are damages in room and my reservation has been cancelled!!The owner told me that they had dropped me an email/mesage regarding the reservation. However, I found nothing in any of my mailboxes. Was forced to look for another hotel in that eventually. The most angry part is that I did not get any compensation/refund for this!

The description and photos on the Expedia site were misleading. Firstly, the "hotel" is a separate business to the pub - the door was locked eventually I was let in by a man who thought my surname was "w*nking", struggled to find my booking, and operate the lock to obtain my room key. The entrance hall is dirty and run-down and there are loose electric wiring and cables. The back door was permanently open and broken. There is mould on the ceiling and the stairs are very narrow and the carpet filthy and torn. There was an overpowering stench of weed in the room despite the window being jammed fully open. The curtains were torn off the curtain rails, and the the sink in the bathroom was so tiny as to be impossible to use. Thankfully the sheets and towels appeared clean, but no kettle or tea/coffee supplies (which are advertised). Next to my room was a door to a flat roof which was off its hinges and open all night. The bloke (and his mate who were both drinking in the pub next door) couldn't find the code for the main door (which I'd obviously need to get back in later on!). As I was leaving he said I looked like "One of Harry Potter's wizards". I left as early as i could the next day - I didn't even try the shower! - and as I was leaving a young couple who were loitering outside the min door pushed their way past me into the hotel saying "it's ok, we live here". I have no contact number and there was no staff so no-one I could notify or confirm this with.I would add that I was a woman travelling alone (I have all my life) but have never had an experience as bad as this. The photos of the rooms which are on the Expedia site are clearly NOT of the actual property. The fact that there were two open doors (one on the ground floor and the other on the roof) meant that there was absolutely no security for property or person. The carpets were so worn as the be dangerous and the exposed cables speak for themselves. Camden need to give their head a wobble and get this place shut down. It's dangerous and disgusting. AVOID. AT ALL COSTS.
