This is a great place to stay in central London. It's extremely well priced for the fantastic location just behind Oxford Street. It's also a few steps away from restaurants, cafes and bars in Fitzrovia. …

As a previous review states any woman staying alone here beware... I was lucky enough to be with my husband but there was definitely a feeling of being uncomfortable around the owner... he demanded payment straight away for the hotel ... …

On arrival after a stressful journey, I was shown to a small room with shared bathroom. I told the manager that I was under the impression I had booked a room with private bathroom, which he disagreed with. …

Rooms are small and access is via steep stairs. It's Victorian and all rooms are at least one floor up from ground floor entrance. Location is good but only on-street, paid parking. Shower is part of the very small ensuite and will get everything wet. Older gentleman was very helpful in getting us settled, and they only accept cash.

I was referred to this hotel by the British Hotel Reservation Service at Heathrow Airport. I was told it had a private bathroom & continental breakfast. Upon arriving I entered a dark dingy hall & steep flight of stairs. …
