I really enjoyed my five night stay at St George Hotel. Situated in a great location, the hotel is very central —surrounded by all essential shops, and is in a safe area. …

I stayed here because it was the only reasonably priced hotel I could find in close proximity to the US Embassy (it's about a ten minute walk). The hotel was great value for the money. I had room 18, in the basement. It turned out to be a great room with air conditioning, no traffic noise, and no noise from other guests as it doesn't share any walls with other guest rooms. The room was a good size and clean. Both members of staff I met were very friendly and helpful. No complaints, would stay here again.

Read reviews before booking hotel so I knew it would be small but my knees hit the door while sitting on the toilet. This made it uncomfortable to use the toilet with the door shut.We also booked the hotel and it said we could check in at 1300 but when we arrived they said our room wouldn’t be ready until 1700.We were allowed to leave our luggage there but it was to be kept in the main hallway not behind a counter or locked up.The WiFi has a terrible signal in our room and hardly worked.Maid barged in even though we had a do not disturb sign on door.

It's a good price for central London and the rooms are clean and well kept. The road is noisy if you're at the front of the building, and the mattress wasn't the greatest. Annoyingly there is no iron in the room, you have to request one from the front desk but is still quite good for this price point.

Our room was located in the basement next door to the laundry facilities and staff rooms. When we asked if we can move to another room they automatically said no without making an effort to accommodate us. The windows have no locks! We were extremely disappointed and felt that we were deceived by the images that were presented by the hotel. There are no elevators and the hotel is more like a motel with poor amenities and lack of customer service. Stay away, not worth it at all.

My room was very adequate for my needs. It was spacious for myself, clean, quiet, and secure. Staffing is minimal, so take care of needs while they are on duty. The hotel was very near my venue and was easy to walk back and forth which I felt very comfortable doing by myself.

Nice building, nice location, good room but beds are very hard, pillows are 1 per bed and very hard (no staff around on the evening to ask for more or a swap) sheets were minimal, poorly fitting and very similar to hospital spec. Also a horrible moving towel rail fitted by toilet door that we kept catching onrselves on. Both of us left with numerous bruises on our left hip. Bath also a bit mingy, stained and very tired. Ok for one night but not somewhere id like to spend longer.

I've known that London loves to misrepresent herself about the properties for rent. …

Very dissapointed with our stay.We were given a room on the 4th floor with no lift.No air-con and the heat was unbearable, consequently no sleep. Were not informed on booking that a cooked breakfast carried a further charge of £10.Not very clean. The bath was not suitable to use and the taps in the basin was just a trickle. Will not book here again

We were stuck in room 18 and barely slept. Whenever an adjacent room flushes the toilet, it sounds like the sink is overflowing in the bathroom and we were awoken at 6AM to the cooks preparing breakfast. The room is dirty, the wifi is slow and the shower is barely big enough to turn around in. We were told we could move at midday however when we returned at 3:30PM (midday to us), we were not allowed to move as they hadn't put new sheets on our bed. The owner was very rude when we asked for her help and when as a last resort we told her we'd review the place, she said that that would be slander without even knowing what we'd write.
