We came here for Sunday lunch with friends from Canada. Loved the decor though there are people seated at the bar which meant some of the outside table guests were jostled by people walking by.The roasts were lovely and came really quickly. As there was a large group of us, we enjoyed the pear tart tartin. It would have been good if we had been given a serving slice to cut and serve it. There were only 3 boules of ice cream between 4 of us for a dessert for 4.Lovely food and atmosphere and definitely would come back.

Lovely lunch here, food was delicious and overall service was great…Unfortunately we were very disappointed, when we asked for tall and elegant wine glasses like other tables had (rather than the small goblet style ones we were provided), to be told our chosen wine ‘wasn’t expensive enough’ to warrant those glasses and that they were ‘very delicate’!? Very odd and quite insulting when you are 4 grown women out for a special birthday meal! Strange approach to customer service and it tarnished the visit a little which is a shame as means we won’t want to return or recommend

For 15% service charge you expect service. And I’m not blaming my server, but people who let him work.I work in the industry and we need to follow the steps of service in order to take the service charge. When I went to talk with the manager about it, he was leaning against front desk (I don’t think that’s the way to stand when you talk to your guests). His approach was dismissive and disrespectful. To whatever I said he was just nodding and saying yes yes.I have a feeling if I was middle aged British man the conversation would be different. One more concern you should ask your front of the house staff to take better care of their appearance.

Yesterday afternoon, I visited The Orange Pub for the first time. It had been on my list for a while due to all the great things I’d heard about their food. Unfortunately, the poor service has left me unwilling to return. Our group of six was served by a waitress who, despite not using a notepad to take orders, managed to get one of the drink orders wrong in the first round, though she did apologize for it.When it came to the main course, she still didn't write anything down. Five people at our table received their meals, while I waited around 20 minutes for mine. When the waitress eventually approached, she informed me that I would have to wait even longer. I asked how much longer, but instead of answering, she walked away. Later, she asked my tablemates what I had ordered—while I was in the bathroom—clearly forgetting my meal, which could’ve been avoided if she had just used a notepad.A friend had to ask about my food again as I continued waiting. Despite knowing she had forgotten my order, the waitress only apologized to my friend, who had raised the issue, not to me directly. The constant uncertainty around my meal became a major distraction throughout lunch. Half the time I watched five people eat, and the other half, they watched me.The experience was frustrating and completely avoidable. The staff handled the situation poorly, and I never received a direct apology or any gesture, like a snack or drink, to make up for the delay. It's such a shame, because the food was fantastic.

Went here for a Birthday lunch. Whilst staff were friendly our pizzas were underwhelming. We sat upstairs which had a nice ambience but a ferocious air conditioning unit. They kindly turned it off when I asked after an hour of turning into an icicle. Desserts were fabulous and it is also very dog friendly.

Went for Sunday lunch with family last weekend. Had heard good things having previously had an average experience, and wanted to give it a second chance, however we all left slightly underwhelmed.Ordered the family style roast for four, but when it came, the chicken was lukewarm, there was only 2 thin slices of beef, and the two slices of pork were mostly fat, and therefore not much meat to eat on it. Not much veg either. Perhaps serving it in a cold skillet does not help keep the food warm. There was however, plenty of roast potatoes which were nice and crisp.Overall it was very average, verging on disappointing. Would I go back again? No, probably not.

I came for a lovely dinner on my own and I had the best time.Service was impeccable. My waiter Balazs (I hope that’s the correct spelling) was fantastic. His recommendations for food and matching wines were spot on. He was great entertainment yet professional and efficient.A big well done to the chefs! The food was super fresh and just delicious!Would highly recommend for both food and a relaxing drink

Easy booking online, great service from staff in bar and restaurant. Our food was excellent, the steak was exactly as requested (medium rare) and the pasta (with peas and beans) was delightful. The aircon was a little powerful (we sat upstairs) so maybe check before you sit down? Great value for money too, thank you for a fun evening!

I brought my family here for a Roast dinner in 2022, and they were visiting the country again and begged for another Roast at that Orange. We arrived to see you have re-decorated. Very nicely so.However, the menu had changed completely and not for the better.Trusting our first experience, we ordered the Roasts. I ordered the 'Parmigiana' Roast. A lazy way of satisfying vegetarians.Sadly, the Parmigiana was unacceptable. Undercooked and for its price; measly. So much so I sent it back and after seeing the other dishes, decided to not eat.The Roasts were nothing like a classic English Roast. The chicken desperately needed gravy. If there was some, we were not offered any. The pork was okay, although those beans… Yuck! The cabbage was undercooked and not very tasty. The potatoes were dry and not crispy. When you charge your prices, the food needs to be flawless. Also, on our booking we specifically mentioned the need for two highchairs because of twin 1-year olds and the table was placed up two flights of stairs. Not very child friendly. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

Yesterday I visited The Orange Pub for an early lunch. We were a group of four and seated upstairs. There was no where to hang coats and the dining room was cold. The menu on the website was different from the menu we were given when seated. A couple of the pizzas that were ordered were barely warm. Left underwhelmed and having spent a lot. Very disappointing.
