Currently staying at the hotel. Location is fantastic, really nice area, staff are very pleasant too but the room is absolutely horrific!! Stuck in a basement room with about 3 feet around the bed. The only window is about 1 foot wide and only opens 3 inches, which is possibly a blessing because outside the window is partially blocked by the building and the rest is a square metre of a dank side alley!! 3rd floor rooms are lovely and spacious with great windows and light, basement customers need refunding!!

The basement rooms should not be priced the same as the other floors, they are an absolute disgrace. I don't mind rooms being small, especially in older buildings in city centres. …

My family loved staying here. The location was great, it is nestled in a quiet family neighborhood, so it was like living with locals. It is very close to many train and tube stations, it was very easy to get anywhere in London. The included breakfast had plenty of options and the breakfast staff was very quick and helpful. The evening desk attendant was kind enough to find us silverware one evening so that we could eat our takeaway dinner. We were upgraded to a bigger room upon arrival which was amazing!

I had a wonderful stay with my kids and friends. The hotel is a little bit old but it is clean and near the center of the city and the sightseeings (the bus stop is 5 min from the hotel). They cleaned our room every day. The neighborhood is quiet with plenty of shops. The breakfast was very good. Iryna at the reception welcomed us with a big smile and help us a lot. We loved her.

Absolutely would not recommend this hotel. The room was tiny, with not even enough carpet to cover the whole room, and the bathroom floor tiles were loose and hazardous. Additionally, the water would turn stone cold or scolding hot with no warning or notice. Got burned more than a few times across our stay here. Bathroom had some small bugs flying/crawling around. Can do far better for this amount of money.

Great location, safe neighborhood and walkable distance to Hyde Park, hop on hop off bus, bus stop and a couple of underground stations. Several dining options in the area. The included breakfast is great as well. The bathroom was small.

Reading other reviews it seems that's is the hotel practice to send guests to the basement to see if they complain, and only if they do, they "upgrade" then to rooms suitable for humans. Clearly they lie about it "some guests prefer the basement rooms" said the manager, or "this is the only room available" said the receptionist, then suddenly when the manager arrived, normal rooms were magically available (or the house keeping, which is incredible btw, works 24x7). There are plenty of other small and large hotels in the area, so there is absolutely no reason to come to this one, unless if they guarantee a non-basement room. The lift it tiny and squeaking, and the breakfast was surprisingly ok and a notch over "continental", house keeping staff was supper and the bright spot of this place.

This hotel has clear advantages and disadvantages. Let me start with the negative. The picture from Hotels.com clearly shows 3 single beds when you select a room for 3 people. …

Overall really liked staying here. The room and bed were comfy and there were nice touches travelers appreciate, like a little wardrobe to unpack your suitcase and plenty of places to hang things. Breakfast was great and the staff there were so attentive and friendly amd hard working. The only 2 negative things I can say about this place are that the AC out vent wasn't set up properly in my room so I had to keep the window open to kind of accommodate the broken plastic piece that holds the oit vent. The second was the male front desk staff. They were extremely weird and stubborn aboit accommodating my loyalty club perks- (early check in and late check out). They tried to charge me for both even after showing them the loyalty club confirmation saying I would get those perks, complimentary, during my stay. One went to far as to read that email and day "well, I don't know, ypu have to pay anyway". Either train your staff better on what the loyalty program offers or don't offer those perks with it if you don't want to honor them. I did eventually get both but only after a hefty amount of embarassing Karen-ing, which didn't feel great for anyone. Other than that, great location!

Recently remembering my trip.from.a few years ago.I still remember the hotel just being in a great spot, great service. The exterior was being renovated or repaired, but had no issues with that during my stay.Really enjoyed the continental breakfast and the staff were terrific.
