This was my first time staying at the hotel and it won't be my last. I showed up a few hours early and they had my room ready to check in. Everyone was very warm and friendly. I could tell that they cared about the quality of customer service. The room was also quite nice and spacious. The room was a little to warm for my liking even with the AC, but other than that it was perfect. I also was able to enjoy some time in their lovely library.

Pros.Arrived about an hour early and was allowed to check in. Quality clean room with huge bed.Short walk from Covent Garden.Shower very powerful.Hand and body soaps very nice.Cons.No Cake/Biscuits in the cake vase in the room, teas not topped up. When I called down to reception in the morning (when I realised) they just said sorry they would let Manager know but never bought any up ??Receptionist got my partners name wrong despite spelling it many times.Full English Breakfast - Black Pudding on one of our plates only.Three half slices of toast between 2 for breakfast which came ages after our breakfast. Everyone around us was chasing up their toast ! Asked for more but it never came. Had to ask for sauces (was not offered)One piece of butter only, again had to ask for more.We requested tea before we were shown to our seats but it came after our hot breakfast was cooked. Tea/Coffee should be serviced immediately.Dressing gowns too small (especially the arms)The whole hotel is basically understaffed which reflected in the service we got all round.Deposit taken which is absolutely fine however it is going to be 3-5 days before refunded, Always astounds me how the payment goes through instantly but refunds take 3-5 days ?I suspect with full staff our experience would have been much better.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights. Having stayed in other hotels in London without a gym I was looking for a nice hotel with a gym. I wanted to stay in Covent garden. The room was spacious for London standards. …

We were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival. Saq was a legend and provided such a high level of customer service welcoming us to Middle Eight. The room was excellent with lots of high quality touches. Would recommend anyone to stay here even if just for one night like ourselves to experience the luxury in a fantastic location for a great price.

I recently stayed at the Middle Eight Hotel, a five-star establishment in Covent Garden, and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. I arrived at 9:30 p.m. to find no doorman present, which meant I had to handle my own luggage. This was a surprising inconvenience for a hotel of this caliber. Additionally, the absence of room service and the inability to turn off the room’s AC were unexpected drawbacks. My first night was particularly uncomfortable due to the room being too warm, despite attempts to lower the temperature. While the issue was eventually resolved, it required several calls to reception. The room itself had some maintenance issues, such as an old-feeling carpet and a lack of professional cleaning by housekeeping. On the bright side, the hotel’s location is fantastic, offering easy access to the vibrant Covent Garden area, Holborn metro station near by. The breakfast served at the on-site restaurant was delightful, and I must commend the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. In particular, Connie at reception went above and beyond to assist me with extending my stay, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience.Overall, while Middle Eight Hotel has its perks, such as the prime location in Covent Garden and friendly staff, certain aspects of the stay fell short of the five-star expectations. The lack of attention to detail in service and room comfort diminished the overall experience. For travelers prioritizing location and design, it may still be a good option, but improvements in amenities and upkeep are needed for it to truly live up to its luxury label.

The hotel reception was very inviting. I love the decor which was modern but still very warm. We were greeted at the Taxi by someone who brought in our cases and we made our way to reception. …
