2nd time staying here, it does the job! Very well located. Unbelievably hot room this time around, and people's doors slamming (they are on seriously powerful closers) kept us up. Excellent value however, and the large communal areas are nice to use.

The positives: good location, clean bedding and friendly staff.|The negatives: the hostel looks run down and the self-catering kitchen/dining area is far too small. Some serious investment is needed by the YHA. …

Good location, and there are a number of local pubs and restaurants with 'Big Tesco' just over the road. The facilities are kept to a good standard with a variety of options room wise. There's 3 communal areas with a TV room, a quiet reading room, and a games area that has a pool table (£1 a game) and table football. The food was good for what we needed, and the selection was enough to keep our pupils happy.A prayer room was available for our pupils as well as classrooms, and the self-catering kitchen was fit for purpose.

Good location about a 5min walk through the town to the beach. Very quiet. Several families and older guests. Just a bit tired. But ok for the price.

We stayed in a private room and thought highly of the experience. The location is convenient, near the station, in a quiet spot. The room was small, with a bunk bed. It was warm and the toilets and showers were conveniently located. Everything was clean and the staff was very helpful. You could order a choice of breakfast, continental or full English. We got one each and were satisfied. Nothing was a problem, for instance extra duvets which as it turned out, we didn't need. The only problem with the room was the tiny green alarm light in the ceiling which was disturbing at night. Next time we will know to have these eye-flaps with us.

& station. Self carering kitchen is very useful but a 2nd microwave is needed given the number of people using the kitchen. To say it can't be afforded is completely ridiculous!!!!

Lovely staff, generally clean everywhere, food great, needs some painting, a couple of small chairs in room would be good..screaming kids running up and down corridors till midnight and then from 7am ruined it! Not the YHA fault, just bad parenting!
