THE best hotel in Tynemouth. Just across the road from the unspoilt beach, comfortable rooms with all modern amenities, very accommodating staff, within easy walking distance of restaurants and bars but far enough away to be quiet and …

This was a fabulous experience from start to finish. I can't praise the staff enough from reception to servers to bar staff, everyone was great. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed( so much so we have come home and ordered the same mattress) the only thing wrong was parking,my husband can't walk very far and we couldn't get parked close the hotel

Absolutely wonderful hotel, right on the seafront. We had a room overlooking the beach and we could look right out to sea. A beautifully preserved and cared for 'Grand Hotel' from another era. The breakfast room is a delight and there is a really comfortable lounge bar where we could buy snacks and tea and arrange to meet friends.

Beautiful hotel in perfect decorative order. The rooms, too, were faultless. Paid a supplement for a sea view, and would do so again, - see photo. The second photo is the staircase, and why would you use the lift when you can walk up that !!!While breakfast was very good, dinner was disappointing. But a 10 to 15 minute walk to Front St. Gives you a wide selection of interesting restaurants. The dining room too was magnificent. But not used for dinner. Why ? I would pay more for a better dinner, - but that's a management decision.I will go back, but will dine on Front St.I very rarely give 5 stars, but I would give 4 and a half if I could !!!

This hotel is stunning, from the beautiful entrance all the way up the tilted sweeping staircase to the lovely sea view room we stayed in. Spotlessly clean and so stylish. The food was just as impressive and the staff so friendly. Had a wonderful peaceful relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings and will definitely be returning.

We stayed here for 5 nights at the start of September and the hotel is lovely. The staff are mostly friendly and helpful (just one who wasn't quite) and the room (333) large and comfortable. …
