Just needed somewhere close to the centre of town for one night, as I was attending a concert. I left it quite late to book, but this place seemed to fit the bill, and honestly for the price I couldn't have asked for more. It's situated close to the Hoe but also within a leisurely 10-minute walk of the centre. There's plenty of on-street parking nearby: it's not free but I paid about £11 for an overnight ticket (via RingGo).OK so the premises aren't exactly modern, but the room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. It had a small but functional en-suite with shower, and towels and soap were provided. There were facilities in the room for making hot drinks. There was free wi-fi, and the power sockets included USB sockets -- which was handy as I'd forgotten to bring a charger (I nipped to the nearby Tesco to buy a cheap cable).Breakfast was included (to my surprise, given the price!) but I had to leave early so I can't comment either way on the quality. In my brief interactions, the staff came across as very friendly and helpful.Ideal for my purposes, and I honestly couldn't identify a single thing to complain about. I'd happily stay there again.

Perfect and a wonderful experience like all those years ago. I came into Plymouth needing a bed and breakfast. Just like last time I stayed here the welcome from Nigel was warm friendly and professional. Very good value for money and the breakfast was delicious.. Poach eggs and tomatoes on toast. Perfectly situated near the Hoe.

An immaculately clean, no-nonsense B&B redolent of a bygone era. From the fringed lampshade in the window beside the "Vacancies" sign, to the deep stair carpet, to the generous breakfast, this B&B will make you think you've stepped back …

Wonderful host and staff. Option of a beautifully cooked breakfast or cereal. It was really clean also, so little worries were to be had whilst staying over. Quite quiet so had a good night's sleep. En suite in the room we had but I will assume this is the case for the other rooms.About 2 minutes away from the Smeaton lighthouse and the sea front. 5-10 minute walk to the high street. Thanks for having us!
