Perfectly situated in the old dockyard. Good pricing. Things to bear in mind, there is no lift, if you are on the top floor it's four flights ,42 steps. Rooms do not have wardrobes, shower trays can be slippery and do not have a shower mat. Shower cubicle not fitted with a safety grab handle.Breakfast is ok, the cooking of the bacon leaves a lot to be desired , was over cooked and very greasy on two days so gave it a miss on the last day of our stay. The person , who ran front of house and waited upon us was very pleasant, helpful and very keen to ok please. Would go back again, excellent value for money. Whilst there is no designated parking, parking spaces free up early evening and parking is included.

Excellent rooms, excellent location, tried to book the restaurant twice via instructions, however refused twice. Breakfast was nice and the young lady serving was excellent. Apart from the glitch in communication this was an excellent place to stay in Plymouth.

I have stayed at this venue twice when visiting friends in Plymouth. The Royal William Yard is my go place to stay when visiting Plymouth as nowhere else is quite like it..Rooms by Bristrot Pierre is a venue steeped in history and character. Each room is individually designed and is in keeping with the Yard vibe..The rooms themselves are very spacious and offer everything you need with a few additional luxuries thrown in..There are view things to be aware of though, which depending on your own expectations may make this venue inappropriate. Firstly, if you have mobility issues this venue is not for you. One of the drawbacks of the rooms is their accessibility as there are no lifts. Not a problem for me but I can see how this would be an issue for some people. Secondly, the venue is 'rooms' not a full service hotel. So don't expect reception services etc. You get your key from the restaurant across the square but the staff, whilst very professional, are restaurant staff not hotel staff. Thirdly, if you like curtains - forget anywhere in the Royal William Yard. All venues, rented, privately owned, commercial are restricted by some strict listed rules one of which is no curtains or blinds on windows. Instead you have wood shutters, which I personally think adds to the experience and character but others may find their weight and user-friendly quirky feel rather annoying. Again, for me this is totally fine. But others may struggle..The hotel offers free parking, which is a real benefit and breakfast is included and served in the Bistrot Pierre restaurant opposite the rooms..The biggest and best feature of this place is it's location. The Royal William Yard is such an amazing area and this alone makes these rooms a gem in my opinion.

Lovely, large clean rooms with period ceilings and windows. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom had plenty of room, and water pressure. Water, coffee, and tea were provided. Plus a small refrigerator, which was very handy. The room was facing the road but wasn't noisy, just when the bridal party was getting ready downstairs. There was a Market on the green across from our room on Sunday, which was a pleasant surprise. We bought a blanket, fudge, pizza, and watched people while we enjoyed a couple Barbican Gin G&Ts. Great location within walking distance to plenty of restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

It really doesn't get any better! We absolutely loved our room, the location and the feel of the whole area. The room was large, comfortable and just kept us in awe. We also took advantage of the restaurant and it was spectacular, we think of our time there often and can't wait for the opportunity to go back.

Very nice location, wouldn't know you were in Plymouth to quote a local. Very nice rooms but it's target is clearly leisure. Breakfast starts at 0800 and is slow. Had to chase a VAT receipt but the surrounding buildings and the accommodation were very very good.

Great location, out first experience wasn't great but we where invited back and the difference was night and day, just beware they don't offer bag storage if they do them they don't take any responsibility for them or tag them, they also don't have a concierge and taxis can be difficult to get on the weekend.Lovelly location and a dramatic improvement in service.

Situated in the Royal William Yard, which itself is worth a visit ( it's an old 1830 naval yard that's now an entertainment area with loads of restaurants/bars) the rooms are in a converted Georgian house that was home to the Admiral. The house itself is spotlessly clean and keeps loads of the old features, including the old shutters, whilst still having modern facilities (TV, WiFi, tea/coffee) and are all en-suite. Incredibly comfy bed with a choice of pillows. The house also has it's own back garden with some steps up to a stunning view over the water, (although I should point out it's not a resident's only garden). Two points to mention to any future guests - check-in is across the green in the Bistrot, and breakfast is served over there also.Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when up in Plymouth watching the mighty Argyle!

The rooms were very cosy. And the bed was super comfy. The soap and shampoo in the shower were luxurious. The expresso machine with 3 free pods was a nice touch. And the biscuits were delicious. The restaurant was very friendly, and the food was great
