We had a great family stay at the Cliffden recently. A great location, super gardens and amazing staff. We booked this hotel as it is dog friendly, 2 couples in our party had dogs with them. …

Staff pleasant and welcoming. The hotel is OK, but maybe in need of some modernising and maintenance (there was a brown stain on the ceiling above the shower). Bed was very comfortable. Having said that the grounds are lovely and the pool is very clean and modern. The food at dinner was very poor, probably best to eat elsewhere.

Absolutely beautiful holiday. Our club room was lovely. The staff were very polite and friendly. The breakfast was perfect a large choice of everything and the waitresses were very helpful and busy. We use the indoor swimming pool which was nice and clean. We had one evening meal which was perfect. The hotel gardens is very well looked after with the garden staff busy cutting the grass and planting and maintaining it all. Will definitely go back. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We went to the Cliffden hotel just for a little break away. From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated exceptionally well. The staff are very friendly and courteous and make the effort to make your stay special. We liked it so much we extended our time there. It is so relaxing, with beautiful gardens and a pool. The meals were very tasty, and an impeccable service made it even better.Well done Cliffden and staff. Keep up the good work.

This is a dog friendly hotel used by many blind people. The hotel and service is very nice with beautiful gardens and swimming pool. Ideal for all except those who may feel uncomfortable with dogs in the restaurant. Despite this we enjoyed our stay.

Great value for what you get. Rooms are nothing special but it's in a perfect location, moments from beach and town and the newly renovated swimming pool, sea view terrace and beautifully maintained gardens are wonderful. The staff are helpful and breakfast selection is good. JD on reception was particularly friendly and went out of her way to make sure we had a good stay.

Fabulous hotel, some of the rooms have been renewed and amazing views from our room over the garden and down to the sea. The hotel is situated only a 15/20min walk from the coast and set within beautiful gardens.

Hotel Location good, food very good and reasonable prices, great walk through the gardens and onto the beach. However we booked a double room on the upper floor for a quiet 2 night stay we were very disappointed with the room it was clean but basic and very noisy due to the road directly outside the window. The room given does not appear anywhere on the hotel website? Felt like we were given a rough deal!Overall 2 star given purely on the room given and the road noise

Hotel is in a fantastic location for town. The grounds are stunning. The bedrooms need upgrading as very depressing & mattress needs changing. Breakfast was fine. Had to buy an extension lead as no socket near the mirror to use my hairdryer.

Good value for dinner, bed and breakfast. Nice friendly hotel. We didn't have dogs but it seemed very dog friendly and looked like it was really well set up for blind people with Braille notices etc.
