A warm welcome, attention to detail, excellent breakfast and terrific views. My wife and I arrived exhausted after a very long walk on the South West Coastal Path. The Commodore cheered us up wonderfully. Afternoon tea on arrival, friendly staff and a spacious room made our stay very pleasant.

Where to start with this gem of a place? My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the Commodore Hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. James and his team just can’t do enough for you. When we arrived in Instow our car key broke and he didn’t hesitate to assist us with fixing it - James went above and beyond, and we will be forever grateful!!The room was immaculate, elegantly decorated, and offered a breathtaking view of the beach, sea and beyond. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The on-site restaurant was a culinary delight, offering a wide range of delicious dishes, all perfectly prepared. The staff were attentive and made sure my stay was enjoyable. The location was ideal just set back from the promenade and the hotel has its own private parking which is a game changer for people looking to visit Instow.Overall, the Commodore Hotel provided an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for luxury, comfort, and outstanding service. I will definitely be returning, thank you once again to James, Omer and the wonderful team at The Commodore Hotel.

The Commodore was a revelation. I came with friends and we chose it because of the location. My parents had been coming since the 1970s but I hadn’t been for 20 years or more. The service was the best it could be from the welcome to the information, from breakfast to dinner, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely shower, great coffee and fabulous views. Highly recommend!
