Lovely hotel, with very nice facilities. Had breakfast which was lovely, very good range and good quality. The breakfast area over looks the beach which is a bonus. …

It was a long drive from Sussex in a 100 year old car but definitely worth it. We enjoyed the excellent service in the hotel and the view from our bedroom was lovely. The breakfast set us up for a days driving in an open car in rather cool weather. The gratis cream tea was superb.

I’m privileged to have travelled all over the world for work and have stayed in hundreds of hotels and I can honestly say this was one of the best I’ve ever stayed in and the reason is, the staff. Every single member of staff is friendly, engaging, helpful, polite and courteous.A good quality glass of Prosecco on arrival is always a nice touch. And your journey begins there. They even provide warm coats for you to borrow (which I did) for an early morning walk on the beach. In the sense of fairness I’ll try and find some negatives. The room has a slightly older hotel feel, as does the furniture, but the bed is super comfortable. Oh and the carpet in the main restaurant is a bit psychedelic but that’s just me nit picking. I didn’t have dinner or use the spa so I can’t comment on that.Breakfast was great, again with excellent service. The bar was great, with - you’ve guessed it - excellent service.I was working in the area and got back in the early hours, and the gentleman on the night shift was still happy to serve me a night cap, another fantastic member of the team.I worked 4 years in a two Michelin star restaurant and I know the effort that goes into staff training to attend to a guests every need and they do it effortlessly, dare I say even naturally. Great job guys!

Lovely hotel, clean and tidy. The beds are amazingly comfortable and rooms quite old fashioned in a way which creates a lovely cosy ambiance. Staff are helpful and facilities are great. Of course, the views of Saunton Sands are lovely.

An incredible and memorable stay at Saunton sands! We have stayed in many hotels but never experienced such excellent customer service. From the porter to the restaurant staff (we had Ellie) look after us, nothing was too much trouble and they went of their way to ensure we had a good stay. The food was delicious at every meal and the spa was amazing. We enjoyed a couple massage and time in the spa was so relaxing esp the whirlpool with an amazing view over the beach. This place has a magic of it own and we can’t wait to come back. We have come home feeling relaxed and the views from the hotel are stunning! The beach is longer than you realise if u do decide to venture off, but this hotel has something was everyone! Highly recommend it and will be telling all our friends and family about our amazing visit to one of the best hotels in the UK!

We recently had a week-long spring family staycation here and had the best time. We received a complimentary glass of champagne on arrival which started our visit off perfectly. We stayed in one of the apartments which gave us plenty of space for our family to feel comfortable, and it was a short walk into the main hotel. The most iconic part of staying here was the breathtaking view over Saunton Sands. We took full advantage of the amenities, enjoying both the indoor and outdoor pool as we were lucky enough to stay whilst the sun was shining. We spent a day at the beach and visited the beach cafe for lunch, and we also had a family dinner in the main restaurant. I also enjoyed the fitness classes, and went to all of Jess’s yoga classes that I could manage! The service was great, the location was unbeatable and we all had such a lovely stay.

Very disappointing birthday lunch.Service non existent, really very poor! Glass of small white wine £10.50 and served warm.Food was poor nachos very basic guacamole and the worst cheap cheese ever. Such a very disappointing experience both food service and drinks, well below average. You can't beat the view, but the lack of guest experience and service was staggering!
