Stayed three nights. Ate in restaurant for 3x breakfast and 1x dinner. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and are the hotel's biggest asset. The food and bar service were very good and decent value. Only gripe here is the tables always seem sticky? Seen this before were the cleaners used reacts with the table varnish. That's a shame as it doesn't feel welcoming. The room (5) was OK but not great. The bed was good and all linens nice and clean. The bathroom was a disappointment though. Flaking paint, rusty radiator and a sticky floor, plus the toilet cistern wasn't properly attached to the wall. Biggest issue was the creaking floor above the room. Really noisy at night whenever anyone moved around in the room above. Also, lots of road noise as the window doesn't seal well.Overall, an OK experience. We'd visit again for the staff service and food but would certainly hope bathrooms had been improved.

Great place to stay if you want to break up a trip going south on the M5, perfect location just off the motorway and very easy to get to with free parking onsite as well. All the staff are an asset to this place making you feel at home as soon as you walk in with nothing being to much trouble and always checking everything is ok.Food is also a good price but ensure you book direct as you will get money off your food by doing this, unfortunately we booked via one of the booking websites as it sounded a good deal but had we of known about the money off we would have booked direct.

Staff were brilliant and food was very good. Bar/restaurant area were as expected but carpet in corridor to rooms was badly stained and our room, room 5, was really shoddy. Smelt of damp, wall paper peeling off the walls, light bulbs not working, rusty radiator in en-suite, shower cubicle would be ok for children for not suitable for adults, toilet was falling off the wall. Also the noise proofing was non-existent - we were on the ground floor and someone above us was pacing the room early evening, and again from 3am to 4am and sounded as if he was coming through our ceiling.I would have expected a much better standard of room for the price and won't be staying again.

Had a very pleasant two nights stay here. The room was unusually large and clean and tidy. The cost of our stay was very reasonable. There was plenty of onsite parking. We had a couple of evening meals and breakfast one morning too and found the food to be good value. The staff were very attentive and helpful. All in all a lovely break away.

Really friendly and helpful staff when I rang with a couple of queries. On arrival, I was greeted warmly and escorted to my very comfortable and well-appointed room, which was comfortable and peaceful. I arrived late and left early, so ate neither breakfast nor dinner, but the menus for both were varied and reasonably priced, and the fact that the restaurant was extremely full when I arrived perhaps indicates its popularity. I would definitely stay again.

I stopped here as it was cheap and broke up a long journey down to Cornwall. The room wasnt massive or fancy but the bed was huge and very comfy and everything worked well. The pub does breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food was good and not too pricey. The owners and staff were super friendly. I’d definitely stop here again! Well worth the money Thanks so much
