The lift only goes from the car park to the reception level so is not very accessible. As many guests are 'of a certain age' (like us) we saw many people struggling with the stairs. …

Very friendly and welcoming staff. You can feel the history of the building. It has a lovely atmosphere. I love the lounge with the Chesterfields and fireplace and being surrounded by history. Ideally situated for exploring the area. Will definitely stay again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

The building is beautiful, parking just behind and easily accessible with disabled spaces just by the entrance. There is a hold button lift to the reception.  …

We stay several times a year here and have made it our new favourite hotel in Devon. Always friendly and helpful staff. Food is really good, plenty of choice, I don't know how Chef does it! Obviously got a good team around. …

A wonderful afternoon was spent here, enjoying an afternoon tea, which was delicious, for my fathers 80th birthday. Everything went to plan regarding the surprise element of the day. The whole team looked after us efficiently and with warm friendliness. The Hotel itself is a beautiful building with a delightful walled garden to be enjoyed on warm, sunny days. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon was had by all. Well done to all the team that made the occasion special.
