We booked for 2 nights with our dogs. The original room we had on the ground floor had a really unpleasant stale urine type smell. | We tried to air the room to see if that helped. It didn't. …

Absolutely lovely member of staff in particular 1 outstanding lady by the name of Christina, so helpful, hardworking and friendly. She did the work of 3 staff, running around serving food, clearing tables and taking orders. Couldn't do enough to help.I hope she is highly valued as she should be.Well done Christina.Comfy rooms. Nice food

Travelodge hotels always offer comfortable and affordable accommodation. This hotel is situated at one end of Paignton seafront and is also within easy walking distance of the town centre. On site parking is available at reasonable cost.

Stayed for 1 night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is literally a minute walk from the seafront which was nice when walking to our vehicle in the morning. We had to park on the seafront due to there not being enough parking at the hotel but as it was a very short walk. Hotel has 2 lifts. Breakfast was good and everything was fresh but could do with a few more hot options. Overall pleasant stay, would stay again.

Was extremely close to the seafront, a 30 second walk to the beach so the position was amazing. Close to shops, pier beach and town centre. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Only things I will say is I found the room extremely hot, especially for sleeping so do take your own fan! Aswell as there own (we did stay when the weather was hot). Also, as they do state, the parking is first come first served so a couple of drives around the block for us to get a parking space. Other than that very nice stay!

Typical travelodge, cheap and cheerful! The staff were really lovely, helpful, and are happy to help, both over the phone to book and in person on arrival. The staff are clearly doing their best, and are a credit to the place.Reception was a little untidy and unorganised, with kids shoes on the floor, clothing on a table as you walk in, and the tables not cleaned as much as they should. First impressions definitely count. The room was a little dirty (wiped down and human hair and dirt found on wipe). Could be a little better. The room itself was nice, comfy bed. Windows could open more as rooms get very warm. But be careful of the extra costs, which makes it not as cheap as you'd expect. Parking is quite ridiculous, and should be made a little more obvious on booking. Car park next to the Travelodge is constantly full, as well as £7 a day to park, which is ridiculous if you're paying to stay. We had to park by the seafront a few times which is even pricier.

A typical modern Travelodge, positioned at one end of the Paignton seafront. There is an on site car park, but it only has very limited space. There is a larger long stay car park about 300 metres away, but that is a bit more expensive. The interior is smart & clean, if a bit utilitarian. There is a basic cafe style food outlet on the ground floor, next to the reception.Breakfast was enjoyable, although like many others, they currently have problems getting orange juice. The cooked breakfast was tasty, but they only offer scrambled eggs which was a disappointment as I prefer poached. Bacon was superb, sausages really good.Evening meals are a bit basic, and we ate out each evening. The bed room was a decent size for two people. The associated bathroom was clean and respectable. The shower is the walk in style and it had a good water flow. Towels were really nice and fluffy. The views from the top floor are excellent. You get a really good look at the main promenade, and the various items along the lawns.Bedroom windows having limited opening; the pictures show why. It appears that people have left food out for the seagulls, and they regularly appear to try and get access to more!.All in all, a very pleasant place to stay.
