The hotel is a bit old fashioned in a way, however we kind of looked for that. We enjoyed teatime in the restaurant. The combination of virtually no insulation and noisy motorcycles at around 9pm was a bit disturbing but came to an end soon.Rooms generally well equipped and the staff is trying to help where need might be.We generally enjoyed the service minded friendly staff.

Palace hotel has a very pleasant aura, warming hospitality & professional customer service. They have delicious food in the Paris restaurant served to a very high standard, steady flowing bar with a spacious dining area & outdoor areas if required. Staff are very helpful & polite with rooms being very comfortable & efficient.

Great 4 days spent at The Palace Hotel with Parry's. The food was excellent albeit the portions are small but you could ask for more. You couldn't fault the service and cleanliness either. One thing I would like to mention is that some of the staff could have made more of an effort with guests but on the other hand Paul, Beckie, Ellie and Stanzie went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible

Very beautiful and old hotel. Decor a bit dated, but very clean. Helpful staff. Unfortunately our room smelt quite strongly of damp, but a lovely view of the seafront.

We booked a night at this hotel uing booking.com and paid in advance with a debit card. We chose the non-cancel option as we were looking forward to the trip and saw no reason to pay for that option. …

Just got back fr Seven night stay hotel lovely and clean as were the bedrooms but rooms dated sower over bath not good if not very mobile lack of power points so take a extension with you if you want to u your phone or tablet on the bed food average and service slow so food can be served dry on top as it has sat around the one coming complaint was the bar where the young man just shut whenever he liked always early so if you go out for a meal or to catch a show be careful as the bar could be shut when you get back as guest tri to explain this was part of there holiday relaxing with a late drink one of the guests tried to tell the bar man in all other hotels they co get late drinks his cheeky answer was. ( not in this one ) we were told when booking in the bar would close about 11.30 but this young man just thought he would close when he wanted and often you could go to the bar he would not be there god knows where he was he must cost the business a fortune in lost revenue

First impressions were that it is a grand old building. On arrival, there were a lot of parking spaces, which is always a huge plus for me and at no charge. On entry to the reception area, there was a lovely scent to the place, very noticeable. The receptionist was very friendly, informative and helpful. The hotel was very peaceful, well maintained inside and well kept gardens. There was a pleasant atmosphere and then had a complimentary voucher for a tea or coffee each on arrival. My partner and I had this after checking our luggage into the room and had it sat at one of the many available seating places on the lawn area. The room was pretty spacious for a standard double. The bed and pillows were nice and comfy. The TV was easy to use, no fuss. There were nice big windows with good black-out curtains which moved easily. The bathroom was bigger than a lot of places we have stayed before and the shower was nice and hot and with a good water pressure. We opted to have the evening meals and breakfast in the package. There was a good choice in the 3 course package menu. No fast food material, but a good well thought out and presented menu of good quality food. The skate wing I do recommend. There was also different entertainment every night. From a musician, magician and a solo singing artist. The magician was very funny and crowd participation friendly. There were both hot and cold choices for breakfast. Pretty standard, but enough to start your day.By the time you had breakfast, the room had been visited and bed made by English speaking Chamberstaff. Again, all very polite and friendly. One of the better places I have stayed at and would totally recommend it.Well done to everyone who made our stay and very pleasant one.
