Stayed for just 2 nights, that was certainly enough. Our room was very basic, extremely dated and failing apart. Beds were not comfortable and the pillows were about as thin as paper. shower rail was loose and constantly fell off. …

Had the pleasure of staying at this very welcoming and pleasent house whilst working here in plymouth, the room i stayed in was very spaciouse with a double and a single bed in so was spoilt for choice which bed to sleep in. …

we booked this b&b because of the location, it was perfect for us, don't believe the haters, we had no problems what so ever, the owner is lovely and the dog was no bother at all, never barked and certainly doesn't smell!!! …

This B&B was unfit for purpose and I left after two hours. When i first checked in the room was in a filthy state, with urine soaked bathroom, previous guests used towels, rolled up cigarettes in the cupboard and filthy carpet. …

I don’t understand all the negatives here. ||Let’s deal with some of the criticisms: this is a functional B&B, the rooms are fine, Bella the chocolate lab is lovely and the breakfast is filling! …

Room: Beds was comfortable and had enough furniture in it for our needs. Deco was good. But it was the little things that needed addressing, mainly maintenance. The curtains weren't fully attached to the rail, and the shower had some black between the tiles (also only seemed be the bare minimum of complimentary soap etc for one person, even though the room slept 3) and there was large quantities of dust on top of mirror (applying it not been cleaned in a very long time)Breakfast: Seating was squeezed into the room, and did take a bit of cooperation with fellow guests to sit down. Plates were cold, so making the breakfast cold (especially the beans)With some simple fixes this could be a good place to stay. Maybe the landlady needs to think about getting another staff member in once or twice a week just so she can keep on top of such a big hotel

One night at Plymouth before cycling trip at Cornwall. Room was little worn out, bathroom need little renovation. But everything was tidy and we sleep well. Normal english breakfast. There is a dog, it doesn't bothered us.

Room 6So waited at the door for 14 minutes, constantly ringing the bell whilst letting the hotel phone ring. Eventually answered the door.Required to fill in a form with address, car details (not sure why as no car park), nationality etc etc.Given a 3 keys with 6 (or 9) on, asked what the number was and told "a lot of people get confused with that, it's 6". (Well why not mark it then)? Never told what the 3 keys were for.Wasn't shown to room, just told it was upstairs.Walked into the room and it was filthy. Photos don't show half of it.The bed was so old it sunk when I sat on it, (I'm 10st 5lbs). The walls around the bed where extremely dirty, linen had hair on it, hair was in the mug, kettle was still half full from previous guest and grimy and yellow at the top. Carpet was heavily stained as was the pillow. I wouldn't like to guess some of the stains on the walls either. The toilet was filthy dirty with feces around it and the shower had mould and dirt on the tiles etc. I've not enough space to list everything.I complained but on my return to the room I picked up my suitcase and slept in my car! No refund offered! The room isn't fit for purpose!

This B&B is stuck in a time warp without a maintenance man. The whole place needs a revamp. We needed a place to stay for the fireworks that was close to the Hoe. That’s what we got. But that is all. Can’t find the words to say what I think of the place. Won’t be going back there
