This is a great little find. Good, quiet, clean rooms. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate available in room and fresh milk available from the breakfast room. Nice shower gel and shampoo. Delicious breakfast with different options available - pancakes, continental or full English. The host is very friendly and welcoming and she has 2 beautiful cats. A short 5 minute walk into town. Parking available at the back. My 12 year old daughter can't wait until she comes back again.

We spent three weeks traveling all over England and Scotland , staying in B & B’s, Airbnbs and hotels along the way. Aidan House is the only accommodation where we had a bad experience. We were not met with a warm welcome.  …

Breakfast on day 1 was OK and had no complaints from all 3 options. Day 2 the table was not fully laid out and had to ask for cutlery. But worse of all the fresh fruit was not as fresh as expected and had mold on the grapes so of course was not eaten. Fryup was OK and came out hot. The only good thing about the guest house was it location for us. But now iv been certainly will not be back.As soon as I was welcomed at the smell from the house was very unpleasant. Had a smell of dirty cooking oil / cigarettes so not great. Decor was really old and just outdated. When filling out the breakfast option at the bottom of the stairs in the book the cup holder which was used for pens had dirt in the bottom so was a little off-putting. After making it to the top floor room 6 I was starting to question my choice. But booking online you don't really know what to expect. Opened the door to a strong clean smell as we opened the door so I was thinking we'll can't be that bad as long as the room is clean I'm happy.Went to make a cup of tea and had no tea bags or milk pots so had to go back down and grab them which was a pain. Cutlery was all clean and kettle. Later that evening the signs started to appear. There's a big hole in the floor at the end of the double bed as you walk into the narrow walkway in the bathroom and nearly fell over. The carpet needs ripping back and fixing urgently as it not safe at all.Bathroom had been cleaned but not to a standard at all. Dusty dirt around toilet and shower was dirty. Smears in mirror. Not to mention the hot water from the sink. The hot water is scolding hot straight away so was unable to use it at all. Inspection of towels was extremely poor with dirty marks all over them so used my own.By this point I was going to cancel my second night's stay and book somewhere else as all my expectations from boook.com reviews had gone against me.So as the evening went on my daughter dropped something under the single bed. As she poked her head under she said "whats that under the bed " after Inspection it was a used sanitary product. I was shocked more than anything. It was so close to the walkway between the beds. Never in my years have I come across this and just goes to show the bedroom, obviously was not checked. How is something of that size missed is beyond me. Totally disgusting.

Stayed in a room up at the very top, beds were comfy enough, stairs were extremely steep, infact I fell over while carrying my bags up to the room.Tap made a banging sound in the pipes when turned on inexplicably and there was a dip in the middle of the room, seemingly a hole that someone saw fit to have carpeted over for some godforsaken reason. Definitely was just an attic that was converted, why any authority approved this building is beyond me.Breakfast was okay. Wouldn't go back if I forgot a winning lottery ticket.

We stayed one night as we were only visiting Stratford for the day. There was free parking at the rear of the hotel. It was in a great location, less than 10 minutes walk from the centre of Stratford and the popular riverside. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Our room was airy clean with an ensuite & separate toilet also tea & coffee making facilities. We were offered a choice of breakfast and had to put our order in the evening before. Breakfast was served promptly, and it was freshly cooked. We were given a warm farwell. If we ever came back to Stratford, we would definitely choose this B&B again.

We stayed overnight after seeing a matinee performance at the Swan Theatre. It’s an easy walk from the guest house and to restaurants. We were welcomed very warmly and the room was attractive and the bed as big as promised. …
