The perfect place to stop for lunch while on a narrowboat holiday - right next to the canal. We sat outside in beautiful sunshine. Can't guarantee the weather, but can guarantee excellent quality, very reasonably priced food. The staff were very friendly and chirpy. They even gave us a dishcloth to take back with us, as ours had disintegrated! Highly recommend.

Didn't stay, only went for lunch. Nice clean pub with a good outside seating area, including no smoking. Staff very friendly. Mistake with billing immediately rectified, which is always a good sign.

The service and experience was overall very good. Although if I'm honest, the Chicken burger was so enormous, as it had two chicken breasts in it! And so much cheese! I thought I was going to have a coronary!

Moored up just nearby and went for dinner with my family and young son. We arrived at our booked time of 7pm and sat on the terrace. Had nobody come and serve us for at least 30 minutes, then once we had finally ordered, it took at least another hour for us to get our starters. We had also asked for our sons food to come with the starters and this didn't happen. So for 2 hours we were trying to entertain a 1 year old and having to feed him snacks as he was so hungry. Suffice to say when our food did finally arrive at past 9pm, he didn't want to eat anything as he should have been in bed. A table next to us had also had to wait 2 hours for their food and after complaining only had to pay £15 for their meal/drinks for 4 people. We also complained and yet still had to pay 50% of our bill (£75) for 4 people. Another 2 tables on the terrace also had to keep chasing their food and drinks. Absolutely shocking service, the staff were laughing at times and we overheard them saying "just come up with an excuse" to tell another table waiting. Fortunately we don't live nearby and were just on holiday so we won't be returning.

One of the best pub meals I have had since being gluten free. No cutting corners gluten free onion rings which were fantastic. Friendly staff nothing too much trouble, very accommodating to my needs. Conveniently situated along side the canal. Dog friendly. Clean & tidy .

Very over priced for a below average pub. The food is so overpriced for what you get.I’ve been here a few times. The last time I came the service wasn’t great but food was good. This time, neither was anything to write home about.Great setting, not great food not great service.
