Friendly canal side local pub, we popped in for a couple of pints during a weekend on a boat. Popular with locals, a decent no frills old school boozer. Suspect some people might find it a bit basic but we enjoyed a couple of hours there. We didn't try the food so can't comment on that.

Proper little pub beside the Oxford Canal. Although in a residential area , just step behind the buildings and you are in the peaceful environment of the canal. Lovely lovely walk to the left or the right. Wander through the Newbold Tunnel with it fabulous echoes or take a stroll along the canal into Rugby. Can't comment on the accommodation as we were there for one night in our motorhome. Friendly welcoming landlord , nice pint and buzzing atmosphere in the bar. Would recommend.

I’ve been coming to the Barley Mow canal side pub as a boater on and off over the years and have always had a warm welcome. Today was no exception. The food is reasonably priced and home cooked. All very welcome on a wet drizzly day. Recommended.

Just home from a lovely afternoon at the Barley Mow. The food was very good, plenty of it and very very reasonably priced. The customer care though was outstanding and couldn’t be faulted. …

Barley Mow was a great pub on the side of the canal. Food was great and hot. Advised us there was a problem with a dessert we ordered and recommended another option. Staff were very obliging, would return again.
