No smoke alarms, fire extinguishers or carbon monoxide alarms. No notices about meeting points if there was a fire. Bathroom - Shower is only good if you are 4 foot. Water pressure poor in wash basin. No shampoo/shower gel etc. No separate light in bathroom. Ceiling in bathroom made it difficult for a man to use the toilet unless you were 5 foot or less. No hospitality tray/kettle in room. Only one bedside lamp. Bedroom - No headspace between head & ceiling. Only one bannister on stairs - which was very unsafe. Mattress very hard - extra firm. Radiators were loud gurgling whilst they were turned on, the room got very hot, no dial to turn them down. Parking spaces are tricky. Very friendly mother and daughter. Breakfast was ok, nothing special, toast was burnt & the fruit and cream we had on the first day was taken away from us at breakfast the following day. We could not have a shower whilst we were there. We have stayed at better places and won't be coming back. Yes it is a 600 year old building but health and safety should come first.

What an amazing, quirky and historical place this is. Just loved our stay here! Fantastic breakfast provided in the kitchen, in the morning too. The hosts were lovely and I could have stayed and chatted with them all day!

Cold room, no shower, no tv, no Wi-Fi, and no lock on the door. Friendly host but no comfort or security and no alternative to dairy milk at breakfast.
