We stayed here after a hard day's walking and found it a perfect spot with old fashioned charm and comfy beds. Breakfast was delicious, healthy, plentiful, and accompanied by good conversation with our host. My only wish was to have a TV in the room, but others will see that as a significant advantage.

Myself and my boyfriend have been the first guests there after the lockdown was eased. It was so wonderful to meet Tim and his wife, such a wonderful and warm couple. They made us welcomed and the house/ room is incredibly cosy, clean and with good modern facilities. It is full also of interesting paintings and decorations which Tim was happy to give the lovely stories behind them. Also, it is worth mentioning the breakfast was delicious with eggs and fruit sourced from their garden. We highly recommend it for everyone looking for a getaway in the summer from a business city. Enjoy it- old house with a lot of nice stories and memories to spot around.Check out the garden also and trust us you will be surprised with the kindness Tim and his wife will great you into their family home.

We found the place through airbnb, and they are listed other places as well. The 400 year-old house has been in the host's family for the last 200. Lovely breakfast and nice rooms. The affable host is as knowledgeable about the area as one could wish for.
