17 of us went here for Sunday lunch. Some had roasts, which were absolutely outstanding. As was all the food. Friendly staff too. Kids food was served first as it should be. All food served quickly and piping hot. We were visiting the area and live 100 miles away - we left 2 hats behind and staff posted them to us first class. Can't fault the place or recommend it enough. If we're back in the area, we'll be back in the Red Lion. Very impressed.

Needed a pub to watch the football during our trip heading north. Found this pub on Google and phoned to ask if they were showing the game. Lovely friendly gentleman on the phone. Arrived to say two pride flags flying which made us as a gay couple feel very welcome. Enjoyed a few drinks and saw some lovely food coming out to tables. The pub is a very modern with a light and airy feel. The waitress was helpful and polite. Village pubs can’t be a little daunting to visit sometimes but this one wasn’t at all. Very welcoming.

At a family gathering for dinner we came to this beautiful pub for Sunday dinner (1st time) The food was gorgeous and the service was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. The owner was pretty chilled and it showed in the whole place, it was a lovely chilled afternoon finishing off in the garden which had been done beautifully. My Dad commented how nice it was to have a room temperature ale how it is supposed to be served.Well done and we will be back soon.

Have been regulars in the Red Lion since moving to the village years ago. Took parents here in mid July 2024 for dinner, one of the first dates for the new menu.It did not disappoint! The new additions were lovely, including a welcome return for the famous (and delicious!) Red Lion Scotch Egg. Great food and service from Zoe and the team.Recommended!
