Stayed in the village for a couple of nights this is the local pub. Local warm feeling inside in the bar area with nice selection of beers and ale. The pub has a Chinese inside which also has really good food at really reasonable price and the pub has an area where you can sit in and eat. All the locals were friendly.

A delightful historical pub set in a gorgeous village. Spacious but homely. Ales were in really good form and the service was very friendly and attentive. Room was clean, airy and comfortable. On site chinese restaurant provides delicious food. Would very much recommend.

Disappointed considering the reviews, must not have been the same staff, a different room and a much improved breakfast.Firstly greeted with no knowledge of the booking, poor attitude both from the lady who greeted and the man behind the bar.Room smelly, bed lumpy, blinds fell off twice, could hear people talking either from the room above or adjacent to, TV remote stuck on full volume. The so called breakfast was not worth going to get, cheap bread, coffee not worth the botheringwith. In summary there are better places not far away from this one, stayed in it the previous night. The in house Chinese restaurant was good, my guess is it wasn't run by the same people.Much room for improvement all round particularly as the competition is very good at the same price.

A lovely country inn. Karl and Julie could not do enough for you. Food via an in house Chinese takeaway was excellent. Order your food and it is bought too wherever you are in the pub.A friendly, cosy hotel in a beautiful village. I can't fault it. I will definitely go back again.

The pub did not advertise or inform me that live music would be present. My room was directly above the room with the live band, resulting in my room vibrating significantly. The booking wasn't particularly cheap and I was travelling with dogs. I don't feel that stating you're pet friendly whilst not making live music being present clear upon booking is correct. I spoke to the landlord and landlady at the time who seemingly brushed me off and lied about being able to offer refunds, directing me to speak to Booking.com customer services, Unfortunately, when the music finally finished and I was in my room. I audibly heard through the loudspeakers threats towards myself by the individuals in the pub below - including threats about starting a fight with me and coming to find me in the rooms above.I then continued to hear the landlord and landlady talking/arguing into the early hours of the morningAs a young female solo traveller, 1I don't feel anyone should ever feel that their safety is threatened, and therefore, I DO NOT recommend staying at this B&B.The landlord and landlady will have also heard the threats made to me and were aware that I felt vulnerable and frightened, but did not get out of bed to see me at check out.I have spoken to Booking.com customer services who have informed me that the landlord and landlady have continued to ignore their attempts to contact them to resolve the issues I faced.

It’s no wonder not many locals visit this pub which is a shame as it’s the only one in Priors Marston. …

Absolutely beautiful 26th Century building, we stayed overnight as attending a funeral. Room was spacious and bed comfortable, en suite had a fab shower. Enjoyed our stay and the on-site Chinese takeaway was an inspired bonus, the pub offered facilities to 'eat in' too! Would definitely recommend!

Awesome local pub! Sharon, Johny, and the whole crew are exceptional at their jobs! We always feel welcome and love the positive vibe here! Excellent beverage choices too. Extra treat is when there is Live Music, Live Rugby matches on, Sunday cheeseboard, and every other Tuesday evening; the fish and chips food truck is there! Fun evening out!
