Our first visit to Stratford and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. The location is perfect for everything and the staff are exceptional. The room was comfortable, clean and with lots of little personal touches made very luxurious. Have already recommended to friends and we can’t wait to go back.

Fabulous hotel. Welcoming staff, very comfortable, spacious rooms, easy car parking (but check route to car park first, as the hotel is on a one-way system and the car park is at the rear, we missed it first time round and had to call reception). Great food in the restaurant. A lovely breakfast. Would definitely stay here again in future.

We really loved this hotel. Superbly comfortable room, great breakfast, friendly staff and excellent location right in the heart of the city. Beautiful garden and generous sized car park on site. Will definitely stay here again. It’s really close to the river, shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

We visited this hotel for afternoon tea recently and entered the hotel through the entrance off the street but found the reception to be on the first floor ! …

We stayed for 2 nights on a "summer break" rate which included an allowance for food, breakfast, and afternoon tea. It wasn't cheap, but we all considered it good value. The dinner was excellent; the tea was lovely, the rooms clean and spacious. This hotel is just across the street from the RSC. We loved our stay.

We went for afternoon tea as part of a tea/cruise experience. It was delightful, the hotel is very well kept, traditional in most parts, some modern aesthetics but generally still fairly old in some style. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attended to our every need. They were courteous and made us feel very welcome for the few hours we were there. Would definitely consider coming again, perhaps to stay and dine.

Dragged for afternoon tea with the better half. Bonus for me though, I upgraded to a beer and bowl of chips to go with it. Nice flavours with the sandwiches, thought the bread was a lil dry. Not really my bag but it was nice. Little cakes were tasty too. Nice place and staff. The mains coming out looked lovely.

We had been given a Virgin Voucher for afternoon tea for our 40th Wedding anniversary. We booked for 2pm today. We rang the hotel at 11.45 and asked if there was parking. The receptionist was polite and gave directions. On arrival at 12.10 we parked and at reception asked if we could move our booking to 1pm. We were delighted we it was moved forward and we were considering a drink before our afternoon treat, when a gruff receptionist stated we could not park until 1pm! Flabbergasted we asked to speak to a manager. Politely, but piously and pompously, it was explained in minute detail that other hotels in Stratford charge for parking and then went on at length about parking issues at the hotel. We left cancelling the afternoon tea. We will spend our money where the establishment remembers we are the customer not an inconvenience !

Would not stay again. Room fine except the shower/bath valve didn't work. But the service for our group was a shambles, with long service delays at booked meals, over charges to rooms etc. Staff fine but over-stretched. Rubbish management.
