Hey… a shout out to Roger. He made our stay a much better experience. We booked this hotel for two nights because of its golf course and leisure facilities. Room on the second floor was dire(we were then moved to the first floor). Thank goodness for that as the ventilation was much better, it was clean and didn’t feel like we were left in a room not used for years. We did thankfully had a good nights’ rest.Leisure centre needs looking after- it was messy with towels strewn around, lounge chairs broken…We will provide details to the hotel and hopefully by the time you visit… you’ll enjoy a better experience.Thank you again Roger for your hospitality.Despite Roger and his colleague at the bar getting an 5* for service, the other staff we met at our dining & leisure location need service training. BW should invest in better customer service training for all employees to feel empowered & to ensure customer satisfaction.

This hotel was probably once beautiful and has the potential to be beautiful again but at the moment it is tired, sad, dirty and unwelcoming. We arrived around 2 pm but told no room until 4 but advised to go to the spa. …

We were *so* excited to stay at a manor house. However, our mere 180 pounds paid to this American-owned chain sadly earned us a view of half a mile of rubbish bins. When we complained, the helpful staff kindly provided a new room - whose Best Western-style accommodations included a threadbare carpet and a moldy shower, not to mention a comforter was so cheap it didn't even fully cover the entire bed. To add insult to injury, the next day we asked for a cost reduction or at least an apology. The helpful staff (and the desk staff were lovely - truly, this is clearly a corporate issue) forwarded our request. We were ignored. My boyfriend received an automated request for feedback (ironic, eh?), which we filled out with these facts and once again requested a reduced rate. In response, we received a patronizing response apologizing for not "exceeding our expectations." Funny - I thought I had made it clear that our expectations went completely unmet. How hard is it to apologize? Will not be returning, suggest you do the same.

Stayed here a few times and each time I’m left feeling disappointed. Hotel is tired and dated, as is general attention to service. Couldn’t open wardrobe as sliding door wouldn’t budge. Had to stick arm in to get a hanger out. …

Never again, a shared opinion by the 6 of us in our party! Most staff are trying hard but, if this is a Best Western Premier Collection Hotel, then standards have dropped dramatically! …

Set in a stunning location, this hotel offers beautiful grounds that are perfect for relaxation. The food is of good quality, with a varied menu that satisfies. However, the rooms could use some updating, as they feel slightly dated. The spa facilities are fairly good, though a few enhancements could make them better. Overall, it's a charming place with room for improvement, ideal for a peaceful getaway.Kosta and his team were amazing and made dinner a pleasant experience!

I think this is a 3 star hotel that was once a 4 star.On the whole the service was excellent but there were individual waiting staff who seemed to not want to be there. Some staff were very good and wanted to correct mistakes or speed up slow service. The building is just a little tired. The rooms were clean and comfortable but the bathrooms could do with a revamp with some peeling paintwork and old fittings. The pool is lovely but again some bits looked a bit tired. The spa pool was out of order which was a little disappointing.Food at dinner was good with a good selection.Breakfast was excellent with the hot food topped up regularly. A good idea to have tea and coffee self service as it meant we could have lots.A nice place for an overnight stay buy could do with polishing up the attention to detail.
