I don’t get the bad reviews here. Nobody’s said it’s a luxurious hotel. It’s a cosy b&b for reasonable price. Walls are very thin and door lock was kinda “weak”, but it was not an issue for us. The room wasn’t the newest, but it serves well and what I appreciated most-it was super clean and smelled very fresh, I loved it.

Good little guest house, comfortable & clean in a good location. ||But if you have the misfortune of trying to contact the owner during your stay you have no chance - so elusive! …

Hi I would just like to thank Andrew our host at Dunarle for accommodating us at very short notice as our bus back home to Glasgow had been cancelled. …

Good accommodation in Oban. Recently decorated. Toilets and shower is shared with just a sink in your room. If taking bicycles be aware that the owners opinion of secure bike storage is a rack in the back yard which isn't locked. A small investment in the facilities could improve this greatly and attract more cyclists.

Me and my wife stayed for four nights at Dunarle recently , First of all. I mistakenly booked for 3 nights instead of 4 . Don’t worry about it said Andy we can sort out payment for the extra night when you arrive which I Did , Let me park my motorcycle in his cctv covered yard free of charge , Also upgraded us to a en-suite room free of charge , we found the place to be spotless , And found Andy and Joyce to be a very friendly down to earth couple who couldn’t do enough to help , thanks again from billy and sharon docherty 😃

Room was small but had tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, milk, hairdryer, everything very clean, good bed. All as you would expect from a budget hotel. The bathroom was shared between 3 rooms but it was very clean and no problem accessing it at any time. Also a basin in the room. Pleasant staff, readily supplied more basics. Not sure why people complained about the sea views - there were sea views from the window (partially obscured by a building) but why would you sit in a room looking out the window when the seaside promenade is literally a minutes walk away! The only caveat· If you are tall I wouldn’t book the upstairs room 5 as part of the room has a sloping attic type ceiling, easy to bang your head! The options below to describe this room are limited and none apply - I had to select something so said Great value … Budget hotel is more my description.

Stayed here with my partner in November 22, & honestly cannot fault the place. Greeted on arrival by the owner, given our keys, & the room itself was probably one of the best we've stayed in! …
