Location was fab. Room was a good size clean with a nice bathroom. Would stay here again but there was a few downsides security door at the front was broken so any1 could come in said there was access to kitchen area as we put stuff in fridge went back and it was all locked up I msg the number and tried to call with absolutely no reply the whole time we were there. We ended up having to keep medication in sink in the bathroom to keep cold. Also said ironing facilities and couldn't access them either so had to go out and buy 1. Purchasing 1 was nt an issue but nit being told we couldn't access them or even being told if the kitchen was nt able to be used would have been good information. We did go back to the kitchen area throughout the 2/3 days we were there and was Locked every time apart from the once when we left stuff In the fridge, that we then had to leave on departure

We had a three night stay. Pam and David were friendly, chatty and welcoming. The double room was very clean, the bathroom was nearly as big as the room itself, with a walk in shower and big bath. …

Nice little family owned B&B. Great location and super friendly host with all the local knowledge you could ask for. Accommodation is a little dated but perfectly comfortable. Good full English breakfast to get you going in the morning.

I stayed here for one night and was not at all impressed. The welcome was not great. I get i was imposing myself rather than being welcomed as a paying guest. The room was dated, and the shower was mouldy with mildew. …

Very very unfriendly hostess only stayed because no vacancies next door rather would have slept in the car than at this b&b. She made us feel very uncomfortable and foolish. So disgusted we walked out and left money on the breakfast table and had breakfast elsewhere.

Have stopped at Cara House for the past three years after visiting Berwick after a gap of forty years between visits. I have found the owners to be friendly helpful people to any body staying with them and the rooms to be more than adequate as is the superb breakfast.

If you like a lovely friendly place to stay in Berwick this is it. Owners are great and can’t do enough for you. Local knowledge is great as Dave runs boat trips on the Tweed and beyond and you are right in the middle of town.
