Stayed two nights here and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Cosy clean rooms, wonderful beds and pillows (slept a solid 9 hours both nights which is unheard of), lovely showers with bath, plenty of tea/coffee too. …

Grim looking place, I thought I was walking into a halfway house or a dole office. Right on the main road so quite noisy. Not recommended if you want amenities. It’s cheaper so I guess you get what you pay for. Bed was decently comfy and the room was clean.

This is a pretty basic hotel, conveniently located just off the A75. Staff were friendly and overall it was an easy check in process. …

Great, convenient location on the outskirts of town. Plenty of free parking. The hotel was really clean, the staff were brilliant and it was a really great price. Really comfortable bed for a great nights sleep. I would definitely stay again.

Many thanks to Pete and Louisa. I left my iPad behind by mistake and I was messaged promptly and was able to drive back and collect the lost item. Neither Pete not Louisa would accept a tip. Great service and inconvenience avoided! Disabled parking convenient for me.

The travel lodge was fine enough for sleeping, in terms of food I walked to the Premier Inn up the road and used their restaurant. What made the experience was Pete who helped me sort my onwards travel in the morning, really appreciate your kindness! Thanks Pete!

This was our 1st time of staying at a Travelodge hotel. The room was clean but the bed relatively small for 2 people sharing and has basic amenities. The professionalism of its staff such as Corey, Peter and Maya at reception made a difference

Like the title says, it's a Travelodge, you what you are getting when you book. A clean quiet room perfect for an overnight stay. Handy Greggs on site if you like Greggs that is.

I've stayed here a few times now. The staff are spot on and really go out of their way to be friendly and helpful. We were even offered a refund when we left an hour early on a late check out! The location is fine as long as you drive (can't rely on the busses and the taxis are hard to come by). As far as the rooms go, they're consistently tired but immaculately clean. I've stayed in several other travelodges that have been refurbished and are far more comfortable. I can't for the life of me fathom why this travelodge hasn't been refurbished yet, give your employees something to be proud of, they deserve it!

Here is my detailed review of Travelodge Dumfries. This Travelodge is located at a Shell Petrol Station. There is a Starbucks and a Greggs right in front of the Travelodge. If you require more food options, Deliveroo and Uber Eats would be your best option. However, I would recommend driving to the restaurants on your own as not many riders available to deliver food. There is an Indian Restaurant 5 minutes away.Staff:The staff is very friendly and sweet. They make sure you have a nice stay. A smile goes a long way and they are very good at welcoming the customers.Hygiene:The room, and the toilet were all squeaky clean, well maintained and perfect. However, there was a strange smell that I could notice in the corridor and the room. It faded away after a couple of hours.Connectivity:You’ll only get 30 minutes of free WiFi, after which you will have to pay. It’s not expensive but it’s not fast at all. The WiFi stopped working late at night and was not working for more than 12 hours or so, I’m sure this isn’t a common issue but this is what I faced. Your mobile data will also not be fast enough as this area is quite remote. The biggest issue I found was lack of power sockets/plug sockets near the bed. They only had two connectors in the room near the table. If I wanted to charge my phone and laptop, I couldn’t turn on the TV or the Fan. I believe that is the biggest issue.Everything else was fine, reading the previous reviews, they have improved quite a lot. There is more room for improvement but I appreciate their efforts.
