Our room was next to the highway and was pretty noisy till 10 pm. Also no darkening curtains so the outside light standard made the room bright a little hard to sleep.Other than that, it was a quaint place to stay with friendly staff. It was also and ideal place to visit some local distilleries and walking trails.

We were staying here as a group of eight for the Speyside whisky festival, and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Although it is a budget hotel with modest facilities, the staff were excellent, the place was clean and the food and drink just what we needed. Our room was overlooking the road, which was noisy, but that is part of the deal when you are in the centre of the town. A highly recommended spot for something like this when you aren’t looking for a 5-star hotel but want to be comfortable and well looked after at a good price.

A nice, clean, authentic hotel. If you want to experience rural Scotland, this is the spot. Bathroom sink a bit leaky, but nothing lacking. Very close to several distilleries, walking distance to Glen Grant, very friendly and helpful staff.

The hotel is maybe a little dated but the owners are so friendly and helpful that it makes up for any downfalls. We would definitely stay here again, just because Rob and Diana are awesome! …

The rooms were clean and comfortable. They do require blackout blinds during summer as the sun doesn’t set until 10pm and rises at 4am. Ladies that manage the place are amazing.

Location to Spey side activities is great. The small house we had was delightful. The area to sit outside behind the house was enjoyable. The only caution is the pull-out bed was a bit small for one of our couples.

I thought it was a good value for what I paid, but it does seem like they renovated a couple rooms and only show those photos on the website. It's an old, locally-run hotel despite what the website and online branding make it out to be, which is fine. My room was comically charming, but it was nothing as pictured, and I would have been upset if I were any taller (I'm 5'2"). Definitely more of a hostel experience than the hostel I stayed in in Inverness, but it was very quiet, and I would stay here again.

The hotel itself was ok but is tired and needs a refurbishment. Good breakfast was the highlight. Early closing of kitchen for evening meals was a real issue.OYO are a nightmare to deal with if you have a question about your booking. If you phone them they charge you £10 just to speak to them. Will never use OYO for any stay ever again

I got 2 major problems during my stay:1. The adjustment knob for my room’s shower heater was not right. It could be only either bloody cold or scalding hot. I could not get a proper warm shower, very dissapointed after trying to adjust the temperature for more than 10 minutes. Not to mention the waters running very slowly. The heater is an electric one.2. I asked the receptionist lady for the invoice of my stay. I gave her 2 email addresses and she said she could only send the invoice after i checked myself out. She hasn’t sent them after i checked out, so that i called OYO itself. Still waiting as per this review is posted.Information based on observation:1. The heater is a central system one, so they will turn the heater off at designated times of the day.2. I got a water heater that had rust in it. (apologies, i did not take a pictue of it)3. There is a morrison, walk distance, near the hotel.4. I can can hear people’s footsteps both from the hallway and the upstair guest. I stayed on the 1st floor. Thanks for reading my honest review
