Stayed here on Mon 21st. Location was perfect, near weaverly Station, Checkin was quick, room was on the 5th floor and was absolutely spotless. It was very quiet, had the best nights sleep in a long time. Had evening meal which was fantastic, staff were great, very friendly and efficient. Breakfast the following morning was the standard buffet, but everything was hot and delicious. All the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Check out was also quick. Will definitely stay here the next time I'm in Edinburgh.

If it wasn’t for the location, it would have been totally unacceptable. All I can say positive about it is it’s in a great location, the bed linens appeared to be clean as did the bathroom (except for some mold around the tub). But the rest of the room was in disrepair. The room needed to be refurbished as did the entire hotel. The furniture was falling apart. The carpet was worn and dirty. I was afraid to go barefoot on it. Although the bathroom was clean, the shower was an accident waiting to happen. The old tub was at least 2 ½ feet high and dangerous to enter and exit. I had to hold on to the towel rack to be able to get into to it. I’m short and lifting my leg high enough to get in and then trying to get out was difficult and dangerous. The tub was slippery and that certainly did not help with safety. If I had slipped and fallen, I would have suffered terribly. The fact that the room had no telephone bothered me. Had I had an emergency there was no way to reach anyone. No refrigerator; not even an ice machine and bucket. Totally unacceptable.99% of the time I came down to see a receptionist, there was no one at the desk. They were helping in the restaurant. I rang the bell repeatedly and no response. I finally had to go in and get the desk clerk. What kind of customer service is that?I guess you don’t feel the need to give acceptable service and a decent clean and well-maintained room because of your location. In my opinion that is totally unacceptable. There is nothing “premier” about it.

Location is great. Premiere plus room was quiet and comfortable. However, most interactions with staff were not super friendly or helpful. Especially a staff member named John, who was especially rude to us a few times. Glad I didn’t interact with him more than I had to.

I made a very late booking so I got the only one room left. It was okay generally and neat too. Friendly reception staff and good service. I cannot comment on meals as I did not have an throughout my stay which was a short one. The location is very good, it is only a short walk from the train station, just about 5 mins or so.

The hotel is very conveniently located near many places of interest and shopping. However the first room we were given had an offensive moldy mildew smell from the bathroom. The 2nd room was a little bit better but you can tell the mildew smell is also there. The furniture surfaces were peeling and stuff needed replacement and upgrades ASAP. Front desk was poorly staffed and they didn’t seem to know answers to common questions that visitors ask about eating places, transportation etc. Front lobby and rooms have old worn-out carpets, and the bathtub is too high and is a potential safety hazard. Hotel generally needs refurbishing.

Friendly and accommodating staff greeted us upon arrival. We had a premier plus room and it was everything we needed including a mini fridge to store items for our baby. Rooms were large, bright, quiet and the bed was so comfortable. We were travelling with a baby and they provided a travel cot (crib) which was an amazing complement to our room. Every staff member we encountered was kind, thoughtful and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our only minor complaint was that in the evenings the wifi did not work well, or at all (despite having the ultimate wifi package).Great location on the Royal Mile.Overall, I would gladly stay here again and recommend to other travellers!

Rooms are okay. Short staffed. One person doing several roles. Were able to check us in early. We were able to get an extra pillow as requested. Breakfast was good.

Lots of breakfast options, beds are comfy, staff are friendly and the location is great, but the internet is ridiculously slow! Even the paid ‘Ultimate wifi’ (£5 for 24 hours) isn’t as fast as what we are used to in France.

So we just been here for from 12/5/24 until 15/5/24 we got moved from 120 because of the path outside are window with people and workmen looking in this made my pregnant wife so uncomfortable having people looking in. We got moved to floor 2 room 204 who ever cleaned this room didn’t do a good job on the outside of the wasn’t clean still could see human faeces and the room had a black mould issue around the window on the curtains. When talking to the manager manager on the reception he said well all you do is clean it and wash the curtains and asked him about what black can do to him. He did not know anything about what black was. After my black walking in duty him lungs he just smelled and just carried on talking. I have contacted health and hygiene about this matter. And I know they don’t check there reviews
