Had a great stay at the Caledonian claymore on 18th to 21st. Room was really comfortable and bathroom a good size. Food for me was enjoyable. My sister is vegan and choices could have been better. Staff in restaurant were great as I think there is a shortage, but it didn't stop the food arriving promptly due to their hard work.

We came on a bus tour. Although the rooms are tired and in need of both an update and a good clean we can't help but think that for what we paid it's perfectly adequate. The staff is pleasant and friendly, the food was nice and the drinks are decent. We were fortunate enough to share our table with a really nice couple. All in all we had a great time. Scotland with loads of sun is always magic

We had an enjoyable week, however the food was very poor. Our room was an upgrade , however this was just because we had a loch view. The room was small The heating did not work, the bathroom was shabby. All in all we did get good value fir yhe amount we paid.

What a dreadful hotel, located in a stunning spot with views of the cobbler and surrounding hills and loch. How does this hotel in any way showcase Scottish Hospitality to visitors from other countries? …

Surrounding location is absolutely amazing, a loch (Loch Long) and surrounding mountains including Ben Arthur pure delight. The hotel is fantastic, great customer service given by friendly, helpful and polite as well as professional staff. The rooms are very good, food and drink are fantastic. Absolutely recommend to come and visit even stay awhile, it's worth it.

Part of a coach party.Been before really enjoyed first stay, hence that's why we chose to return.Food is lovely evening meal is a choice of 3 starters, mains and desserts.Breakfast has a very good choice to choose from to.A great selection of drinks at the bar to choose from and bonus to get 4 free drinks per day.The letdown of this hotel is house keeping it is not up to a good standard. The build up of dust in our room was unacceptable and not just off a few days.Grime on back of bathroom door and window ledge in bathroom had black stuff on it.Don't think we would return to this hotel again, unless I was guaranteed a cleaner room.

Stayed with my husband and toddler. The rooms were terrible, the cleanliness was disgusting, see photos below. The windows were dangerous and the handle was broken which meant my daughter could open the window without any effort. The walls are paper thin so you could hear the fella in the next room burping. Breakfast was a let down, nothing seemed fresh and to top it off they didn’t even have any high chairs. The hotel stunk of cigarettes, everyone was smoking outside the main entrance with the main doors open which was blowing in. The scenery and area is lovely however!
